He was probably the only President of USA, in modern times, who actually controlled a lot of major problems in the World and even started improving ties with North Korea and Russia. For starters, there would be US Military Bases and soldiers on the Border of Russia; meaning the U.S would be able to control Russia from the outside as they already have a few European countries in N.A.T.O Eastern to Russia. Ukraine is the closest European country to Russia, so them joining N.A.T.O thereby is a threat to Russia. From this Point of View, Putin is just trying to protect his country. However, I am in no way trying to justify any of the destruction he's caused to innocent civilians in Ukraine, and it breaks my heart seeing what they are going through 💔 My prayers go to them. Putin has indeed crossed the limit, but I do believe he's just trying to take precautions and defend himself, he's striking before he gets struck. But to be honest, there is not really much tell on his further move, he's a very mysterious guy. And a side note, it's very sickening and frustrating to know how double standard N.A.T.O and the media are. They pay zero heed to Middle Eastern countries and other countries suffering and going through what Ukraine is going through, but even worse and for much longer years. Take Palestine for example, fighting 70 years for their freedom from the Israelis who illegally settled and occupied their land. What's going on to Palestine may be a known issue to some, but now let's get to Yemen, the country with the biggest humanitarian crisis. US is actually helping the corrupt Saudi leaders bomb Yemen, but the media doesn't care doesn't they. How about Muslim Uyghurs being held in concentration camps in China, being raped, enslaved, forced to eat pork, drink alcohol etc. There are so many countries out there in the world struggling and the media and N.A.T.O just doesn't care. Yes, under his watch legislation to increase the length of a presidential term from 4 years to 6 years was enacted, as well as a constitutional change to allow him to stay in office beyond the mandated 2 consecutive terms. He will now be "legally" in office until 2036 (its now 2022 and he's been in office since 2000) Nothing nefarious there. During this time laws were also passed and came into effect outlawing protest and questioning of the state. Nothing to see there either. Move along! Mind your business!

I’m an independent voter and in the past I have voted for either Republican or Democrat candidate. I see both sides. Trump isn’t wrong for saying Putin is smart. He calculated this from the beginning. He didn’t do anything when Trump was in the office because he knew Trump was as crazy as he was and also unpredictable. Trump had balls though. He wanted other NATO countries to start investing more money on their own to build their military defenses. Protection against Russia. Was he wrong? No. I think Trump knew Putin very well that he would do this eventually. Just looking for weaknesses and opportunities. The US was the only one with the highest defense budget than all of the NATO countries. He was right all along. After seeing the images of what’s going on in Ukraine, I felt like the leaders acted too late. The Russians was gathering their troops on the border. Do you really think Putin was bluffing? Look at what we are now. The victims in this conflict are the innocent people. Russian mothers doesn’t know where their sons are at, being forced to serve in the front line and the Ukrainian people.

Those who live in America or Europe do so because they have succumbed to the rhetoric of the mainstream media without even knowing how to locate Ukraine on a map. Any normal person would condemn any form of violence. Do you really think that those who are at the head of the Russian state are celebrating because they were forced to go to war? That they did it because of their imperialist ambitions? No friends. Russia endured. For the past 8 years, Russia has not ceased to insist on the observance of the Minsk negotiations, which Kyiv refused to comply with. And they had a lot of patience while Ukrainians were killing Russians in a neighboring country. At the same time, more and more Nazi movements were organized in Ukraine, they did everything possible to kill the memory of the common Soviet past. They destroyed monuments, historical symbols and forbade speaking Russian. The West has long been trying in every possible way to provoke the Russians to attack Ukraine. There has been talk of an "imminent attack" for months now. Hence the panic was born. And not in Russia, which has already denied these versions of bad intentions many times. This caused a panic in Ukraine, which continued to bomb Donbass day after day, feeling strong, thinking that NATO would turn its back on it. Now their president says they feel lonely. Surprise?
