Putin’s Bold ‘Tit-For-Tat’ Move To Confiscate American Assets In Russia 'Stuns' Rival Biden

President Vladimir Putin signed a decree aimed at confiscating American assets in Russia. The move came a month after U.S. President Biden signed a law assuring critical military aid to Ukraine. The law has provision to sell confiscated Russian assets and hand the proceeds of the sale to Kyiv for Ukraine's post-war reconstruction efforts. Putin’s new decree will allow Russia to confiscate movable and immovable properties, securities owned by American companies and citizens in Russia; and other property rights of the U.S. and Americans in the Russian federation.

Europe only put sanctions to please the US. More technically the EU had into impose sanctions because the countries that didn’t would be sanctioned by the US. It’s funny though, because yes at the moment US has a huge buying capacity but it is limited to its’ population. Countries like China and India have become stronger economically, they don’t care about US sanctions, the EU could just make peace with them and create a better/stronger economic growth with them as these 2 will only grow stronger and have combined 3billion in population that are consumers. Not the richest consumers on average but a lot bigger engros capacity. The EU needs to start creating benefic economic ties with these 2 and stop the whining. BRICS also is coming into play which will completely bypass US and EU sanctions with more than 40% of the global population as consumers. Many countries in BRICS need to catch up to western technology and living styles, so it will be probably the biggest market in modern times that the US and EU will not have power over and consequently loose large amounts of trade.

The rules-based order is a euphemism for Western hegemony. Following it has led to impoverishment for huge numbers of the globe's population over decades. Following it has led to anti-democratic coups and the propping-up of stooge governments. Following it has led to direct military interventions and a widening of violence. The West and its cultures have a place but it should be as a co-operating equal, not the dominant bully. The West spouts a lot about democracy but the Deep State runs a significant number of Western Countries and in the most powerful country of all with over 300 million people there are only two mirror-image parties. Modern Italy by comparison with that country is a beacon of democracy.
