Ukraine took the bait from the CIA and it cost them 500K+ lives of soldiers and civilians in addition to the territory they will lose. By the time this ends, the cost will be at least one million Slavs dead and families displaced. As in most wars, the will of the populous is not consulted beforehand, and in this case, a great injustice has been done by the Right-wingers and Nazis in making the wrong choice. Self-determination is good but some strategic thinking must be employed. They will reap what they have sown. In a way, this had to happen since the West would brook no resistance but the Russians surprised Europe and the USA by strongly pushing back. This was a test of whether the Western Empire can rule the planet, not, as they would say, a case of naked aggression by Russia. It certainly fits the definition, but it was provoked by NATO. Fico and Orban clearly see that. Now the Empire is making its last gasp. And none too soon.
