Anyone holding views or opinions contrary to Armenia's independence and security should not be welcomed in the country. Thus, she was sanctioned by an International body with significant role in Armenia's security - the EU. On top of that, lies uttered by her of some non-existent fictional help from the Russians (Never happened, neither from the Tsarist Russian, nor from the Bolsheviks. It was always in the interests of Russia) are only indented to draw a nice picture of her rotten beloved homeland. I say, dear Armenians cut the losses. Get rid of such heinous Armenians for the sake of our homeland.

I am not pro-russia, but i am not pro-european/west at all. If anything i despise the west/europe more than russia. i try to let ppl remember that apart from the turk, armenia has lost more lands under the russians. at the same time, on a political standpoint, Armenia desperately needs to repair its relationship with Russia. At the end of the day, the best solution is to be self-dependent, but before we become self-dependent, Armenia needs supporting from somewhere.

You "despise" the West and Europe why exactly? What has Europe or the West done to Armenia that is worse than what Russia or Turkey did? And btw, Russia is a European country first and foremost. Is this the famous Armenian "hospitality" I've heard so much about?

Lets say back in WW1 times should the Armenian people chose to ally with the Turks rather than Russians? If so, please explain why especially with all those stories of unequality and Armenians not being able to attend high places in Universitys in order to get the best jobs within the Ottoman empire. Would that have been a better route? Would Armenians be in a better place today then?

They would’ve killed us all, the Armenian Genocide was going on during those times
@ArvosCrusader Жыл бұрын
Well it wasn’t like Armenians were treated significantly better under the Russian empire, they were still essentially 3rd class citizens. Tbh you can argue pre young Turks Armenians had more chances at a higher standard of living in the empire similarly to the Jews within the empire. Either way for most Armenians it prob didn’t make an ounce of difference, they would’ve had no real political or individual rights and would always be considered second class citizens, without any real opportunity
@lehmejoun Жыл бұрын
Try your bait elsewhere, Armenians got genocided for just existing, allying with Russia happened much later. Nice try, but you can't revise history as you see fit.
@levongevorgyan6789 Жыл бұрын
Which Armenian people? The Armenian people under Russia? Or the Armenian people under the Ottoman Empire? The Armenians under the Ottoman EMpire for the most part did ally with the Turks. Thousands of Armenian men served in the Ottoman Army, and a conference held in Erzurum affirmed loyalty to the Empire, while refusing to try and forment rebellion in Russian Armenia. The rebellions only started when the Turks started massacring villages and the Armenians in their armies. It was at that point a self defense.
@sakogekchyan7366 Жыл бұрын
@@levongevorgyan6789 Well, it's complicated. The uprising in Van started in 1914. Unfortunately, Justin McCarthy is correct about that. But, the uprising was probably largely in response to conscription. Both Armenian and Kurdish people in the eastern provinces resisted conscription. Perhaps there was also some pro-Russian sentiment as well. Hard to say. One thing is for sure, the deniers fail to understand that the existence of some type of Armenian rebellion does not negate the genocide. A genocide is ethnic, cleansing, coupled with attempted cultural erasure. Furthermore, even if they could demonstrate that these atrocities did not have the sanction of the government in Constantinople, they were undeniably carried out by local governors in the eastern province is who were agents of the ottoman state. Thus it is still a genocide because it is carried out by state entities. The massacres, combined with the confiscation and redistribution of Armenian, wealth and property, combined with the attempted cultural erasure in the form of destroying historical monuments, and trying to raise Armenian orphaned children as Muslims and beating them for speaking, their native language, it basically echoes what was done to the Native Americans in what is today the US. What people need to understand, is that not every genocide falls neatly under the model of the holocaust. The holocaust is one of those genocides where the victimized group really didn't do anything against the victimizing group. But in the case of many other genocides, it was a lot more complicated. So Turkish apologist will talk about how there was mutual ethnic violence in the years, leading up to 1915. They will talk about how Armenians killed Turkish and Kurdish people and Turkish and Kurdish people killed Armenians. OK so what? When we look at the genocide in Darfur in Sudan and the genocide in Rwanda, we see a similar pattern. There was ethnic violence in the years leading up to the genocide. The ethnic violence was caused by a number of complicated factors that I will not get into right now. This doesn't change the fact that one of these groups eventually attempted to wipe the other one out entirely, moving beyond the previous pattern of mutual ethnic violence in the form of local massacres, and moving into the domain of attempted extermination. The fact that there were decades of mutual ethnic violence between Hutus and Tutsis does not negate the fact that a Hutu lead government attempted the final extermination of Tutsis in Rwanda. So whenever Turkish apologists bring up the fact that there was often mutual violence between Armenians and their Muslim neighbors, I tell them this is true...and irrelevant.

@@AkravHistorye understand but we love them so much to the point where we’d love more. I have a proposal for a future video. Could u cover the history of the first “Azeri” governing bodies in Armenian soil pre-USSR (Yerevan Khaganate, Karabakh *Artsakh* Khaganate, and more)? My reasoning is that we must understand why they claim our lands so badly, and use historical facts to counter their arguments for “nativity” and presence in these lands. Anyone with a working brain and seeing eyes can read about how Armenians were here first.
