Hello everyone, welcome to the show. It has been a month since Pierogi the Bald went on his merry drive to Moscow and its time to look back with clarity at what went down and what it means for the future of Putin's regime.
It's a tale of the highest highs and the lowest lows of a man who made his life and then ruined it by hoisting the black flag on behalf of Vladimir Putin. So without posting spoilers for the Barbie Movie or Oppenheimer in the comments, because lets be honest that's what normal people are watching right now unless you're watching the cricket like me. Buckle in for the full story of Putin Vs Wagner.

@@mercenarygundam1487 Pssh, hardly. The Russians fail to make use of a tactic that would have saved them up to 75% losses in the field; The Namba Bashiri AKA The Ninja or Naruto Run. The implementation of this technique allows the runner to become more aerodynamic and a much smaller target to hit. Their incompetence showed itself in full force. Sending these men to die in human wave attacks, and they didn’t even bother to drill them on the proper execution and implementation of this technique. Hell, Namba drills are a CORE part of the first months of Army and USMC training; with the final test before graduation including a 3 and a half mile mad Namba Dash through open fields. They fire live rounds over the heads of our brave trainees to accustom them to the whizzing and cracking of passing rounds. These poor Russian Bastards were failed miserably by their chain of command. At Area 51, while the tactics could be described as a “Human Wave Attack” it is well known that men and women on that mission were WELL versed in the Namba Bashiri. To compare the two is akin to comparing D Day to the Cuban Bay of Pigs! Similar strategy, however far different executions.

Well its an Airborn operation , you drop dig in and wait for relieving forces just like in Market Garden, VDV did take hostomel airport and held it for like 2-3 days but the relieving air forces as in planes with heavy vehicles and troops got shot down by the Ukranian AA and few just turned around and ground forces got ambushed along the roads or got into the fights where they coudnt break through to help the VDV, therefore they took massive casualties and rest of them reatreated where ever i they could. Airborn stuff is always a gamble. Pretty much exact same thing happened in Market Garden operation this explains the situation well "kzbin.info/www/bejne/qGGtmmqBptZ4p8k&ab_channel=WarArchive"

You know, that was my feeling about the whole Ukraine operation. I thought the Russians were building up on the border just to try to scare the Ukrainians into doing what they wanted. I could see that they didn't have enough troops to actually win, so I assumed that it must be a bluff. It'd be stupid to actually attack. Well, I was wrong about that! (I currently think that China's not stupid enough to start something over Taiwan, so I hope I'm not wrong there either!).

Ukrainian Nationalists. Fixed it for you. 1. Ukraine shoots into the city. Ukraine shells the city. Therefore their weapons were going the right way. 2. There are videos of Nationalists being the first in and asking "can I shoot the white bands", meaning people wearing the Russian ID color, and being told "yes" 3. The weather in Bucha was not cold enough to preserve bodies for weeks for them to be as fresh as seen on TV if they were killed during the Russian stay 4. The news only emerged days later after Russia left, rather than immediately 5. Ukrainian troops acted similarly in Donetsk, Lugansk, Soledar, Orehov, Herson, Artyomovsk, Izium, and Mariupol.

One of Wagner's advertising posters actually used an image of two Australian special forces soldiers taken in Iraq. An American photo journalist took the photo. Of course, the Aussies both look like 7" giants and built like hulks, equipped with top of the line gear. Hardly what actual Wagner mercenaries looked like (HIV infected convicts who haven't eaten in days).

One correction that I feel is important. The investigation into the Bucha incident seems to reveal that it was elements of the 76th Air assault division that committed the atrocities, not Wagner. Again, I feel it's important because the perpetrators are for the most part still at large, and the right people deserve the blame for that particular travesty.

@fogrepairshipakashi5834 That would be strange because it's my understanding that Russia claims the massacre is propaganda and never happened. Also, to my knowledge, no Wagner elements were deployed to that sector as the VDV, sptznaz, and elite tank elements wanted the glory of rolling into kyiv

Uh they didn't know the us special forces were there. They where in light skinned normal vehicles. Not all wagner mostly local Syrians they were fighting with. When the us special forces guys seen them approaching before firing they called Russian high command in Syria and asked specifically if they had any units in the area and the Russians said no so they basically hung the wagner guys with the Syrians out to dry. And it went how u would expect a special forces contingent with loads of fire support assets against dudes in pick up trucks with aks they got slaughtered. In a peer to peer how wagner was equipped in Ukraine the elite ones. Us special forces would shit there fucking pants and run like bitches when their air support gets shot outta the sky their tanks hit by atgms and their artillery assets getting hit by counter battery fire. I get sick of that oh us kicked wagners ass in sryia that time. Wagner already kicked the shit out of nato mercs in Ukraine. But news says we're not there lmfao only literal low iq brainwashed idiots belive that. Russians say Ukrainians fight like real men real warriors. And nato mercs shit themselves and cry like bitches and flee when they got up against REAL war when it's not insurgents in the desert. When the enemy got the same if not better capabilities than u that's real war.

@TheEDFLegacy

@@doomerbloomer6160Yes, though I'm conparing them in broad strokes; February 1917: Revolution against an unpopular war and food rationing. Leads to the abdication of the Tsar, and a provisional government is made, but the war continues on despite its massive unpopularity. October 1917: The ongoing war and issues with the provisional government leads to the Soviets taking power, and they end the war. What I meant originally is that the core underlying themes - an increasingly unpopular government not willing to give up an incredibly unpopular war - and with a popular opposition leader leading the way - led to the failed attempt of the February Revolution. Lenin was very much involved in the February Revolution, and the provisional government was the compromise because he wasn't strong enough to take the whole thing at once. Prigozhin likewise wasn't strong enough to overthrow Putin and his government this time around. But he definitely did significant damage to it. History never repeats itself word-for-word, but the similarities are startling; - Both started due to an unpopular war. - Both revolutionary attempts were committed by despots looking to overthrow another. - Both attempts severely weakened the government's grip on its power. Only difference here is that the first revolution succeeded in overthrowing its leader, but both attempts failed to provide fundamental stability. With that in mind, the next time this happens, is probably final.

There will be no revolution. Their is not enough military support for that. If Putin goes it will be through coup or assassination and his successor won't be that different. They might end the war. They might also keep it going but Putin's regime is secure even if he isn't.

Great video, but I can't overlook at least two things so far. First, with the MH17, Wagner involvement was minimal, if any. It was mosly the FSB op with the MOD assets. Refer to the Dutch investigation. Second, with atrocities in Bucha, Wagner seemed to participate as "instructors" of the atrocities, with the bulk performed by the MOD operators. Tho the investigation is still ongoing.

This entire war, if anything, has been a perfect example of the classic problem of long-term sustainability in an authoritarian regime, especially with regards to the military. When Putin took power as an autocrat, he was faced with a large, multi-ethnic nation reeling from economic turmoil, a mafia state, vast corruption, and existential fear of the US. He had no breathing room from the start. That’s why Russia has probably been the most prolific creator of propaganda for the past couple of decades. They both intensely celebrate the glory days of the Soviet Union and beat their chest about themselves now, which is why you see a lot of ultranationalist, alt-right movements pop up everywhere there. And yet, the inherently corrupt nature of Putin and his cronies means that they have siphoned billions, if not trillions of dollars from the state. And the military perfectly demonstrates that. On one hand, they maintain a lot of Soviet-era, generally older equipment because they love to boast about its supposed ruggedness and survivability when the reality is that they can’t afford to upgrade or develop new tech. On the other hand, they love to create wonder weapons for the parades like the Poseidon torpedo or the S-500 so that they can claim they’re the best at everything, when the reality is that they can’t afford to even develop and produce those weapons for general service. A good example within that example is the Moskva. They both lauded its supposed reliability and effectiveness as a remanent of the Soviet days while also promoting its refits and refurbishments as making it one of the most modern and advanced warships at sea, when in reality, they did not have enough money left after the corruption taxes to neither maintain it nor upgrade it. The only thing about authoritarian regimes is, they eventually buy into their bullshit. They lose the ability to distinguish between reality and fantasy, especially once they begin to age and come under threat. And with Putin facing a poor COVID response, further economic turmoil, widespread dissent inspired by Navalny, and the election of leaders like Biden, he clearly felt fearful enough that he bought into his own propaganda as a natural response. Otherwise, he never would have invaded Ukraine. It was never going to succeed with the state he had left the military in, and a more stable regime would have recognized that. That’s why Russia is failing. That’s why Bakhmut became a mass grave for an entire generation of Russians. That’s why Wagner was able to get so much power. And that’s why Moskva is sitting at the bottom of the Black Sea: they bought their own authoritarian fever dream bullshit, and they paid hard for it.
