If you farm for anything, it should be for the Fire Knight Helm. When you wear it, it’s an extra talisman. Adds stamina,HP, and equipment load increase for free. Lots to farm in shadow keep.

It's cool to see how far Java has come. Compare this with the early days of Elden Ring. Yes the DLC is hard, but there's some skill on display here.

Hey Java☕❤ catching up your video now I'm caught up great video. The backhand is a great weapon then I switched to the The Dragon Hunter Great Katana I will never go back to the backhand again I find it very short to get in and hit something and also less DPS . Java, in refrence to speed at which you are getting thru dlc, you are doing great 😊 Alot of streamers are just casually riding around and not really exploring just going where the roads lead them which depending on turning left or right is 3 or 2 main bosses but missing 60+% of game by not looking carefully for hidden paths.

People keep saying that level doesn't matter in the dlc. I came in this with my lowest level character that had finished the game (my other one I was playing hadn't gotten far enough yet). The character I started with was in the 160's because I played and did a lot of stuff after finishing the game with him. I really didn't have as much trouble as a lot of people I have watched doing this did in the beginning. I beat the first Acetic (or however you spell it) with no problem and beat the Knight in the Mausoleum on my second try with no shadow blessings. And even at that level my vigor was only at 50. I had put a lot of points in dex and endurance. Was wearing pretty heavy armor and used the Blackguard's crab to further reduce damage taken.

Someone in this video said the Church district could be first or second part of the Shadow Keep. I have done the keep and Storehouse, haven't even gotten to the church district yet.

Java, have you tried the StormBlade ash of war? With the storm talisman + Alexander's Talisman, I'm getting about 1500-2k dmg on dlc enemies from a Flame infused dagger with Stormblade as ash, for an 8fp cost hard to beat the dmg per fp 😊

I'll be honest, as a long time souls fan, I'm not sure Fromsoft nails the fairness aspect in Elden Ring either😅

curious to know what about the dlc is designed to your tastes? i also am in the same boat in that i like it more than base game. i like the bosses more, i like the boss themes more, and i like the art direction more for these environments. but my biggest thing is how they structered the overall world and how the paths end up leading you to these destinations. its more vertical and a bit harder to get to a majority of the areas compared to base game where its mostly flat. And for me very specifically it is strongly reminiscent of Shadow of the Colossus's world design where the paths are not very straight forward yet look organic. making the discovery of areas much more satisfying. btw if you wanted to do a replay with a fresh character to get to dlc, i think with enough knowledge of items and builds you can just rush to get to mohg and still be powerful enough for dlc. granted it does take a bit of elbow grease lol. lucky for me i have like 10 characters that are around end game so i guess it payed off to just play alot since launch.

Java, I'm level 286 in dlc and it is a bit easier but the character is specifically not specialized with all stats at min of 40 (except mind at 35) Vigor/Faith at 60 so all items in dlc could be tried out without worrying about respeccing, lots of new interesting things to be found and tested even the Carian Sorcery sword (post patch) which lets you cast equipped sorcery with the heavy attack 😊

Lol watching you level up with the pittance of runes still shocks at lvl 286 each level is 774k, but making enough runes in dlc to do that if needed but choosing to buy stones to level all items to +9 or +24 for real test of their uses.

I actually gave up trying to beat this dlc. No spoilers but the final boss is just impossible for me to beat. Even with summons.

use asmon's strat. asmon himself is not that good at the game and he changed his entire approach and did okay. btw he used shield poke strat. and maybe stack holy defense for second phase with the hair talisman from shaman's village and a holy proof liver. i think surely that would help out your survivability. also i watched a challenge runner and they used raptor of the mist to avoid that gigantic holy AOE. so put that raptor of mist on a off hand weapon and switch to it when that explosion happens.
