I loved Chuckwagon so much as a kid, it's a small thing but being able to help myself to all those free snacks was so novel to me. It's also a neat detail that he'll give you the actual hot cocoa/cheese squiggly/cotton candy you click, meaning there's 9 different animations instead of just the one for each snack.

I mean snakes can't really move very fast is cold weather, so without Putt Putt's help he'd probably have frozen to death trying to get back to his parents. They go into something called brumation when it gets too cold... similar to hibernation but being awake. If the snake doesn't eat enough before that then they will die. ... I was the animal kid growing up... Man I fucking loved Putt putt saves the zoo.

@7:20 I thought of an explanation for the snake: snakes get sluggish and eventually can't move if their body temperature is too low, so that is why he was stuck and couldn't get himself off the ice. Of course, this could have been explained better. They missed an excellent teaching opportunity.

I know you're totally joking, but snakes often do this thing when they're on cold surfaces (especially ice in the wild), where they freeze up, literally. Some snakes are smart and know to speed up instead of slow down, but cold messes with their metabolism so they don't function well.

Good God, I haven't played this in years... but I remembered every single thing you showed in the video. This game must be one of the most nostalgic things for me... ever. My favorite clickpoint was at the paint station. If you click on the parrot to make him yawn, then click on the tree to make the acorn fall, when timed just right you can make the parrot choke and spit it out. I always thought it was the funniest thing.
