I am so grateful that you take the time to test different products and share the results. I've seen several different brands of ready mix pouring mediums and have yet to buy one. I have been making my own using Elmer's Glue All and had pretty good results. I have more control over the thickness. I think your rocks ended up being really cute! Thank you for your research and your creativity❤

Don't give me too much credit...I can't pass up a good clearance deal! But I'm glad it helps, and I am kinda curious about other brands now too! I do like that mixing your own means you have more options for color and you only need to make as much as you need!

Thanks so much for the review. I definitely would've grabbed these if I saw them, but I'll be passing. I'm going to try it with the Flotrol like you've shown before. I think they turned out beautiful, but watching the colors start to mud together turned me away. I've heard a few people say they're not dying Easter eggs this year and painting potatoes instead. Do people not eat their Easter eggs or are people just not buying eggs at the moment with the price being so high?? 🤔 We bought some, but we also eat them. Painting rocks is a great alternative. 😀🥚 Happy Easter to all! 🐰💛

I was thinking this morning that I wonder if I could improve the muddling (and not waste these paints) by alternating with a color Luke white or black that I mix with the Floetrol!

Jessica thanks for showing us the difference between a good product and bad one. Just because of the colors I would have bought them. However, I’ll pass on these. I still think they turned out pretty it’s just not the expectation that was hoped for. I hope you enjoyed hiding your Easter rocks. I agree about the price of eggs. 😊💜

Yeah, they were just a little too thin for my liking, and it dries really shiny. Very similar to when I used the Apple Barrel pouring medium to mix my paints. Just not my favorite product.

Interesting result on rocks. I've also done pour painting for several years. Now I have at least 50-60 paintings that I don't know what to do with. 😂 I might try pour painting on rocks next. I wonder what would happen if no pouring medium was used? Possibly just slightly thin with water?

My mom actually has done the thinning with water and it did work, but I think it runs the risk of diluting the coverage. I think there is another formula where you can mix water and a bit of glue in a certain ratio and put it on the paint also. I have refrained from buying canvases to do this, but oh man, some of the things people create make it so tempting!! But I'd end up like you with all these paintings! Lol At least with the rocks, I hide them! Lol

Why don't you sell them? I bet they are beautiful and might bring happiness to someone's habitat. Or you could donate them to be sold for a worthy cause. I'm sure your local Cancer Center could use some money for research or for wigs etc..just a thought.🙂

The flower funnel tool is meant for canvses, I think your rock was too small to really show the cool effect. I think the stripes look cool before blowing on them. You can also just do a "straight pour" from one end of the rock to the other for a slightly different look.

There are definitely lots of options, and I actually have been able to get a cool effect out of that flower tool on some flat rocks (maybe not the same as a canvas, but still cool). This paint was just a tad too thin I think. And after trying to write on one of them last night, it also dries kinda strange...almost like there's a puffy give to it, and the paint pens don't want to glide over it so well!

I love to do paint pour. A viewer on some other channel🙃said that ArmorAll has flotral in it and that it worked really well. I tried it and he was right. I didn't even put any heat on the rock.

Oh I bet the Armoural was for the cells! The Floetrol is just for thinning the paint out. I've seen people use hair products for the cells too...I think anything that has silicone in it will work. Which then makes me wonder what are we putting on our hair?! Lol

@@JessicaRocks I'm so dumb sometimes. Yes its for cells. I'll try to send a picture after I've had my coffee. I was up almost all night.

Not dumb, there's too much to remember! 😉 And coffee is important! Lol. That's so cool that it worked...did your rocks smell like a new car afterward? Lol

@@JessicaRocks I didn't sniff them! Lol! I don't know what a new car smells like! 😅🤣🤯

If you poured in one direction only, and did not repour on the same spots, you might have been able to retain decent color separation during the next step.

That is a good point, especially considering how fluid these paints were! It's easy to gwt over zealous with paint pours! Lol

HEY JESSICA!HAVE YOU SEEN *CHASE FLUID ART* YET? THERES 2 VIDEOS THERE AND ONE OF THEM IS.."WHAT IS THE BEST CELL ACTIVATOR?"! AND THEN...CELLISM IF YOU WATCH THIS, I PROMISE YOU THAT YOU WON'T BE DOING THEM THE SAME ANYMORE BECAUSE YOU WILL BE INFORMED. EVERYONE SEEMS TO THINK THAT HEAT, CHEMICALS, AND AND DROPS OF OIL ARE THE WAY TO GO WHEN MAKING CELLS. NOT TRYING TO BE A KNOW IT ALL..... PLEASE WATCH

I will definitely check it out! I admittedly don't do paint pours super often so I probably haven't done the deepest research!
