One really important thing you guys missed: Both antennas are mounted high up so they're about level with the float because water is really good at blocking RF so if they're under water you may failsafe/lose video.

This quad is perfect for where I live in Oregon. Flying over water is one of my favorite things to do. And I've been doing it without even conformal coating lol. But I trust my builds, and my ability.

1 question i remember from last year flying in cold weater, my FPV cam wil fog up and i did not fly futhers. ( it was also in my first months of FPV ) is there a coating that prevent the lens from fogging up? or just a simple hack wil do.

I've never flown a drone and I'm not even slightly interested in buying one. **This is just great content.** I wonder if having a "deployable" float would be more conducive to normal flyers without messing with the aero so much. Like a nano sized compressed air canister with an inflatable bag being lighter weight and less volume than the pool noodle on top.

I've looked at these quads and they look awesome! However I fly in super harsh and extremely windy conditions so I don't know if the waterproofing is up to it... Would a quad like this hold up in salt water with the main components well waterproofed? (I know the motors will get destroyed eventually) I've double layer conformal coated my electronics but I'm still looking for a more robust way to waterproof. Fun video guys!

Tis a bit expensive. You can achieve very similar results with conformal coating and some like shoe glues but they have limited results.

i bet the fountain pushed up on the quad enough to freak out the gyro so it throttled up to compensate because it thought it was moving incorrectly?
