Putting Moose My Python Hunting Dog To The Test. Today is the day. Moose and I are back out hunting pythons and I'm putting him to the test today. I have to cut the day short to go get a raccoon that i've been trying to trap. We had a great day today and although moose started off catching a turtle he made up for it with hunting a python down. This python was smaller but it sure put up a fight and got me stuck in python handcuffs. These has never happened to me before! I was able to get out but these pythons sure are tough!

i got me a black mouth cur in Louisiana in exchange for some crawfish. looks and acts just like ole moose there. Quick as a whip and loyal as hell. He does like to jump deer though.

Great video ! Like the way he tracks with his head up/down and sweeping the area slow. He's seems to be doing a great methodical job. Believe that maybe the best thing is he doesn't get excited and lose energy. which can be dangerous in South Florida. Again, really enjoy watching you guys work and hunt.

Thanks so much for all u dog to help save our Everglades. ( the two people who disliked this video are two of the jerks who let their pythons free in the Everglades. EDIT: I know of someone who lost a raccoon in that neck of the glades. It is a very very friendly female raccoon. And we campaign to try to stop people from releasing balloons. Like at funerals and weddings. They either don’t know how it kills our earth and ecosystem, or they just don’t care. Well we try to show them photos of what their balloons can and do to our environment and ecosystem.

I've dealt a lot with pythons and most other reptiles in my younger days before they got so out of hand. I tell ya, that python & iguana hunting looks like big fun! I relies they can do you some damage big time, been bit by some big ones myself LOL. Cool vids. Wish I could be there helping. Awesome dogs you got there, you must be good with them for sure. @Chandlerswildlife keeps finding balloons out there in the glades as well. Didn’t realize that was such a problem. One thing that could really help is having the companies that make the balloons use biodegradable plastics…like many of the doggie poop bags. At least that way they can break down out there.

Mike take a piece of webbing like dog collars made out of but make you a strap with a loop that you can tighten up, then you can fold up some snake bags in the strap and tighten it up. Then attach it to your belt loop on your backside with a carabiner so when you walking through thick brush it won't get in your way or get caught up in something if it's behind the middle of your back.
