A question for Owen. Why does he pull up the gear so quickly on the mountain takeoff, as if an emergency happened, the gear would need to be lowered again in order to land, and In an Emergency Situation, it is important to be ready for all contingencies.

Reduce drag. Increase airspeed which can be be traded for altitude/distance. Worst case you can land gear up if you have to and probably be fine. Beats stall/spin.

I Loved the Montana Winters, and would move back in an instant, but my wife, who I love, doesn't like Snow, or Cold. this is one of those irreconcilable problems, that will only clear up when I am dead, and she follows my instructions to dump my Ashes one foot over the Montana Boarder, and only then will all be well.

I noticed the TCAS print came up on screen too. People in general aviation don’t know the difference between real TCAS and ADS-B traffic alerts, so all the minions think they have TCAS when they hear these alerts. It’s a completely different system. One requires ground station relayed traffic info the other is direct box to box interrogation.
