Putting Out Salt Blocks and Moving Hay

This is the final steps to prepare for breeding season. The North Pasture has hay all over the place. It needs to be moved to a secure place so the cows can't get to it. Cattle breeding can be simple with a plan. We run a 60 to 90 day breeding season at Pride Ranch. Dinero 30J4 will be placed on the weaning pasture with 5 heifers. The rest of the herd will be moved over to the north pasture to graze.

If you get the salt blocks with garlic in them it help keep flies off of them.

I worked at the mill at the producers bryan location. They recycle a lot of old bulk into their feed idk if you know or how you or anybody feels about it but I would encourage a different brand of feed.

I didn’t know. Besides their cattle cubes I typically purchase a custom pelleted mix for my calves.

@@PrideRanch I would say any custom mix you're good, They make that too order. Maybe all mills have the same process on cubes they are required to test everything.
