I am having issues with text to path...i get it to the circle, but then the text on the circle reads from right to left instead of left to right. I tried flipping it or rotating it, but the selection only stays on the text box I created and not on the text on the path (circle). Any tips? I am creating pins for parents of a xc team and need to have them done asap but ....I am stumped!

When I add text to path it follows the path but at distance of i/2 inch, the same with circles it forms a border there as well.

The thing that bothers me, is that my text starts on the left and goes downwards on the right hand side - not from top to the right as i want it to - nothing to do with rotating, but direction of text. Help

Anytime I try filling in the letters only about half of them get filled in and the ones that do look crappy... I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong anyone have any suggestions?

I've been trying to use an elliptical path but the text always gets placed in an awkward position. Because it's not circular, it can't be fixed by just rotating the path. Is there a way to change where the path will appear?

I just use spaces and kerning (put cursor between letters and hold down ctrl and use arrows to nudge letters). I use that to position my lettering where I want them.

Ha! I agree! GIMP isn't a very good program to do stuff like this. Inkscape has much better controls.

Photoshop you just put a circle down and click on it with your text, takes like 10 seconds lol

Heh...truth. But I guess that's the difference between a fee program and a premium program. Besides, I'd probably opt for something like Inkscape or Illustrator if I was going that route.
