10:15 The reason his name is "Chiliz" is because of the way Spanish surnames used to work. "Iz" or "ez" or "es" means "son of". Basically the function of the surname was to tell other people who your father was, so since Chil II is the son of Chil I, he's Chil Chiliz.

Very refreshing to watch people who dont have gazillion amount of hours in this game, love the content! Keep it up! Also very nice to see people coming from other games as well, paradox games are gems, besides their dlc scheme. And yeah, a lot of people and almost all of the Empires, Kingdoms, Duchies, and Counties in the game are completely historically accurate to the start date, bar a few random counts/tribal chiefs/counties that didn't have much (if any) historical documentation about them, so paradox just kinda winged it. For example, Cumania is the latinized name for the Cuman-Kipchaq Confederation that was established in the 900s and fell apart in the 1200s due to genghis khan and the mongols iirc.

I think you need to min max with your knights and armies more, make a filter for unmarried adults and have all the women marry the strongest prowess dudes you can, early game having your martial train commanders can also give you good knights and generals. Be sure to build shit to buff the men at arms in your holdings.
