Jpegmafia's music is difficult for people who aren't super into rap anyways. For most music the more exposure to it the more you'll understand it and be able to listen to "weirder" music. Give him another few months of consistently listening to hip-hop and he'll be more likely to enjoy something like veteran

Thanks you both reminding me how great this album is. I'm glad your dad was immediately into this. I would like to make some correction (I'm sure others have already made lol): Frank was born in California, but from the age of 5 he grew up in New Orleans, so he's really from New Orleans. And as far as I'm aware he came out as bisexual (not gay) right before the album dropped. He even changed Thinkin Bout You to add "boy" like right before the album dropped just to make it clear the song was about a guy.

I’ll comment again after the video but my friend has synesthesia and she sees music and sound as colors, in addition to hearing it. For example, my voice was yellow to her (i forgot the exact shade / description she used), and when i played music in the car (Faye Wong, one of the best Chinese and Mando/Cantopop singers of all time) she said “this is so beautiful..” while looking like she was looking closely at something.
