You, again, appear to be advertising a company without disclosing this, which is against FTC and Advertising Standards Authority guidelines - almost certainly they'll be against your country's guidelines too. Please start disclosing ads or affiliate links - it is extremely important that the consumer knows when they are being advertised to, and if you do not disclose these ads I find it very likely someone will report you to the relevant advertising authorities if you do not begin doing so. You have nearly a million subscribers, please start treating them with respect.

@@ICTman you sure? Seems like he’s just proving the source to the puzzle he found, just because he’s showcasing it off and providing the source to the thing he’s showcasing doesn’t necessarily means he’s being paid to showcase it, aka being sponsored, which he has to disclosed. Otherwise, I don’t see what’s wrong with this? Yes it’s technically free advertisement, but If this is a violation of the guidelines, then basically every single video game playthrough on KZbin is considered a violation, which would be ridiculous.

The thing that i hate about those type of puzzles is that they are correct only from a certain perspective. But if you consider correct solutions wich are correct only from a very specific perspective, you could just take the pieces, put them like you did in the beginning and then put the last piece on top of any other piece, if you look at the letter directly from above it's actually an H.

I was just trying to point out that the original solution doens't seem good enough for me cause there are much less smart solutions wich are kind of equivalent. Talking about the example you made, i don't think it really fits because a solved rubik's cube it's solved, from every perspective you look at it, and in order to solve it by removing the stickers you actually have to "destroy" the puzzle and reassemble it, wich i never implied should be allowed. Making another example, this puzzle's original solution make it seem like in order to solve a rubik's cube you could just solve 1 face and then say: "I solved the cube because by looking at it from the right perspective you can't tell if it's solved or not, so you can assume it's solved".

Seriously my problem with some "out of the box" thinking is the amount of frustration it links to whenever I was thinking outside the box, reaching solutions in different ways just to find out "NOOO IT'S NOT THAT TYPE OF OUT OF THE BOX" like bro wtf you mean, if this shit is considered an H, every other H looking shape HAS to be considered a solution as well. Clear the criteria, write it down, we look at the solution then on the criteria, if it checks out it checks out and you gotta keep it

Alternate solution: 1. Take the two small pieces and combine them with two medium pieces so that they form rectangular prisms. Do the same with the remaining medium piece and one long piece. 2. Put the long-medium pair end to end with one of the medium-short pairs. 3. Put the other medium-short pair perpindicular on the right side. 4. Take the long piece and put it on the right side so that the long side faces toward the other pieces, the point is aligned with the top edge of the perpindicular pieces, and the bottom face is aligned with the long-medium pair. You now have a *lowercase* h.

The problem is that they don't tell us the proper rules. If they just did that then fine. They should've said something like "the y axis doesn't matter, I don't care if it has an uneven distribution (the edge is 10 mm and the middle is 10 km), as long as the x and z axis are roughly correct, then you've solved the puzzle"

The slanted cuts of the pieces give you a clue of how to solve it. Look at which sides of each piece match the sides of other pieces. For example, take two pieces Piece 1. Piece 2 B B |\ A |_\ C A |_| C D D Side c of piece 1 matches side a of piece 2, which hints that they may be next to each other in the solution. Then if you notice that the slanted sides are at the same angle, it hints that they all end up facing the same direction in the finished solution.

@@gaygelding it is thinking outside the box for puzzles like these. Typically, puzzles with these shaped pieces require you to put part of one piece against the angled side of another piece (similar to the H that used 6 pieces). The 7 piece solution requires you to put the flat, non angled sides together, and view the H using the angled sides.

Thinking outside the box is a problem-solving skill. This isn't problem-solving, this is cheating. Why not just throw the 7th piece in the trash? Solves the problem just as well. Or, place the 7th piece on top of another piece like it to hide it from a top-down view? How is this solution clever? It breaks an assumption that was restricting possible solutions to (supposedly) one very clever solution, and opens the floodgates for all manner of "gotcha" stupidity. How does this line of thinking help solve real problems? It does not. It abuses a lack of rules within a rulespace that does not exist in the real world.
