Well the change in style was probably not there decision but the decision of Warner Music. Everything is a little bit more flashy and mainstream compatible. Fitting that there first album with Warner is titled "Use Me" ... don't get me wrong, i like there new stuff too, but im a little bit concerned about there artistic freedom under Warner.

@@alexsantagata5964 I agree, at a certain point, because Lynn has previously said that she has always liked alternative music mixed with other genres. This is different, yet the essence is still intact, for me. The storyline of hers with Alex and Bryan's characters is still there (the concept of them being inside her head/being her), the weirdness too, accompanied by the lore of the visuals. Warner may "have" her, but what I am seeing is that Lynn has control, for now, and I hope it stays that way.

I think the main problem with this song, and some of their other more recent songs, is how they've changed. I dont mind change whatsoever--I welcome it--but in this case, it's disappointing. if you listen to the background, virtually everyone song has the same redundant beat. That was not the case in their older music. This one has far less creative instrumental elements. I also think the vocals are less dynamic. This could be due to Lynn essentially needing to re-learn how to sing after their last album, so Ithink that could explain some of the simplicity on her end. If you listen to their older stuff compared to this it just has a little less uniqueness. I still love this band and hope they gain the recognition they deserve, but I hope they find that recognition through making music that has more heart than this. ALSO, if you're into PVRIS, check out Rivals. Their songs supernova and low are really good. I'd bet you'd like them.

Trippy introspection and the (problematic) deification of golden idols, the combination of which encapsulate the notion of feeling overwhelmed but being put on a pedestal while doing so?
