My personal argument for the solar flare superpower revert is that the version that gave you 2 sun would be the ONLY superpower in the game where you would lose value if use mid combat if you block Since you wouldn't get the 2 sun you wouldn't use it unless you are about to die and need to use it to save yourself, you actively want to hold it for next turn at least, so I just think that design goes against the rest of the superpowers so unless they can make another version you could use mid combat without losing value, its good they revert it

Plus there’s a difference between literally being unable to use a card and a card actively losing value when used in that way.

From my own playing experience (I will admit, it’s very limited), half banana has been a force to be reckoned with in my games. At worst, it’s a chump blocker that’s buffing my whole hand filled with already OP cards like astrocado, pepper md, and ketchup mechanic. The amount of positive trades the little 1/1 buff has given is actually impressive, and it buffing other half-bananas in your hand to make 2 cost 3/3s that buff other cards is pretty important too.

Banana peel got nerfed real bad. Forget about the 2 cost for a sec. Having such a huge pool of possible conjures makes things like brainana or brex more uncommon. The banana pool was on average a lot better than fruit.

But you now have fig, cucumber, astrocado, ketchup mechanic, wintermelon, gravitree, starfruit and dragon in the pool, which are all really good.

@andreasobermuller3044 I won so many times in the past because i got a Brainana from a banana peel (running Grass Knucles) and i shut them down completely before they could remove my Brex or Tricarrotops. It not only costing more, but it having less of a chance of giving 2 OP cards (only bananas in the game were Brainana, Brex, b bomb, Half banana, banana sundae and b peel) to now over 20 types makes it super inconsistent

It's so weird how prickly pear got the old ability of mirror nut, but infinitely worse. It targets the zombie hero when damaged, it charges the block meter, it only does 2 when damaged. It has 2 hp more than the old mirror nut, but it doesn't trigger when other plants are damaged and costs 5 instead of 4. So weird how they buff the weak card, only to give its ability to another plant.

Just the buff to lava would've been enough for prickly pair. It can be good say in front of that bear berry card to potentially kill the zombie before the turn and allow it to hit face. I don't get why they do this to the plants. Zombies get loads of flat buffs but plants have to get "reworks" even to horrific cards like prickly pair.

I’m probably the only one that’s complaining about this, but why didn’t recycle prices get buffed for cards that were changed/nerfed. I feel like that’s something that would be necessary for big changes like this. I’m having a hard time getting new cards and have 4 copies of tricarratops that I wanna ditch

I’ve been spamming Atomic Bombegranate since the patch. It’s genuinely felt like one of the most impactful cards in any Kabloom deck I run it in, up there with Transfiguration, Sizzle, and Berry Blast. I think these 4 cards make Kabloomy a universally and consistently strong class now (when it was just Berry Blast before). Same with Turquoise Skull Zombie on the Zombie side, which I’ve been spamming in every single Hearty deck

They should make half bananas scale 1/1 to all fruits permanently. That wouldnt be that much of a buff since you can only max buff it 12 time by getting 4 splits + 4 banana. But it would make it better and more interesting

The fact it changes lanes is withholding it for me tbh, makes it vulnerable to stuff like flag swarm and sumo cause its just all chance and you cant play around it even when you know its coming. Also hard to play around the environments such as freeze from HG and idk even moon cause you cant reliably play it on heights. As well as its usual problems in dying to bungee, teleport or Guy from HG. Though its existence makes not committing a 2 drop against Kabloom is highly welcome lmao, fck spacetime. Amazing card though very high risk high reward I love it

I think Black Eye Pea is underrated currently, it doesn't win as many trades as it used to but it's still a must-answer control card that can take out almost every 1-2 drop and will punish any Zombie player that doesn't have a removal card on hand, which is common but not universal.

I’m a pretty budget player, but I’ve been having fun with a Captain Combustible deck I threw together. 4 copies of Seedling, Bombegranite, and Sizzle because I wanted to test the buffed cards, and then added some half bananas and my 2 Bananasaurus for fruit synergy (Bombegranite is a fruit), Wild Berry and Poison Ivy for Aggro, Plant Food and Whip Vine to act as win conditions, rounded off with Clique Peas and a couple Bonk Choy for 1 drops. Is it the best deck, no. Is it a fun deck, absolutely.

Even though gardening gloves are really bad, it might be worth running with wild berry to make it hit face twice in an aggro spuddow deck, then you can clean house with some strike through minions. Also, you would rather have gardening gloves instead of something like hot date because hot dates would brick your hand in aggro decks since they have no damage and better fit control decks.

If they wanted to nerf aggro sure that is understandable, the nerf to zapricot a bit unnecesary, BUT the buff to wild berry is absurd because it is very comparable to zapricot by same stats but costing 1 less and does makes me rise an eyebrow since wild berry is rare and zapricot is basic, it would be sad if they are going for rarer card are strictly better And also maybe a similar case with mirror nut compared to Prickly Pear? Prickly Pear a rare card being abismaly inferior to Mirror Nut a super rare
