Paul, it would be so helpful if you were to release this content in podcast format as well. I'd love to be able to listen to this while driving at 2x, but it's a huge bummer that it's limited to youtube so I can't :(

I think the blood pressure is directly proportional to systemic vascular resistance but what you said is inversely proportional kindly correct it please. For your information B.P = CO x SVR

The folate given in pregnancy can't prevent neural tube defects (because till then neurulation has already occured when she knows she's pregnant). It's only for anaemia prophylaxis. For preventing neural tube defects, folate has to be given to all women in their reproductive years.

Hi, Paul! Just an observation: at 13:47 you say the residual volume decreases specially due to the fact that the tidal volume increases, but that is not a reason for the RV to change, right? It does change the functional residual capacity, despite the change in the RV. Right after that you say - what I think is - the right thing, which is the elevation of the diaphragm causing the change in the RV. Anyway, I`ll be forever greatfull for your videos, thank you so much!!!!

yeah ......it's the elevation of diaphragm

Great videos Paul! I wonder if the recommendation that pregnant women should be encouraged to lie down in left lateral position still holds in case of bleeding? What are the priorities here? Would it depend on the amount of bleeding? I work in the ambulance service and pregnant women are asked to lay on their left side during transport including women with bleeding from the genital tract! Please answer!
