Metronidazole is what ruined my life !!!! So how can I treat it without any antibiotics. I only have diet et supplementation solutions. Everyone can't always take antibiotics. It is what causes a severe dysbiosis to me, candida proliferation and bacterial vaginosis. It would be great to think about these kind of patients...

Paul, it's quite common you find woman complaining the treatment with metronidazole wasn't successful. BV it's serious, not so easy to treat and metronidazol is not always effective as it sounds. The partner yes can get it and usually the doctors ignore the fact a male can transmit to the woman as well. From 2 years with BV, I still didn't find one doctor that really KNEW what was going on. Now I am pregnant and not trusting on doctors, with libido completely down, scared about my baby and starting to follow advices from woman on KZbin which passed throw the same issue. Does it make sense the idea of sitting on the water with sea salt everyday to heal the bacteria?

@@linatsoneva2660 Lina, after giving birth naturally BV stopped because I believe our babies are full of protection against it (the white wax that they produce around them) and I got rid of it. Make sure you tell your partner to treat with creams meanwhile so when you are back to business both of you feel safe. Also get lactobacillus pills after you give birth. During pregnancy there is no much we can do.

Talita Gomes thank you so much. I have prescription for antibiotics for 5 days and the mid wife said that after them, there is no point to examine again ( i was surprised). She said it does happen to a lot of women and i just need to be cautious how I take showers. But its all new to me, first pregnancy 🤞🏻❤️ i am just getting worried over everything.

is it safe to take metronidazole at 37 weeks? my girl has bv and the dr gave her the prescription to take that but idk of its safe?

to your initial question "Does it make sense the idea of sitting on the water with sea salt everyday to heal the bacteria?" I don't see how that would help - how do you know the salt won't attack the bad bugs? Sounds imo more like AB treatment and maybe (didn't check literature on this) using vaginal probiotics (if there is smthing like this)
