Pwnagotchi Made EASIER MacOS Edition - 2024 (WaveshareV4)

VIDEO NOTES: I avoided advanced techniques for this tutorial on purpose. This video will help you get up and running in a short amount of time to start exploring more advanced features of your pwnagotchi. Yes, this works on both Apple Intel and Apple Silicon. I shot this video on a MacBook Pro M1 running the latest version of Sonoma and did testing on a MacBook Pro Early 2015 running the latest version MacOS Monterey. There are some slight variations on setting up the RNDIS/Ethernet Gadget but they are very close together in the process. Something I forgot to mention in the video is that the Raspberry Pi Zero 2W did not come with the headers installed. As I don't do any soldering I used the Vilros Hammer Install rig and headers. I've linked that tool and those headers in the description box above.

This is the best video I've seen regarding the Pwnogatchi. However, I have a problem, after flashing it on the Pi Zero 2W, and connecting it, I could not add RNDIS/Ethernet Gadget onto. my mac. There just isn't that choice, If anyone knows how to fix it, Please tell me! Thanks!

Is there a technical problem besides storage about the microSD? i'm using a 8gb micrsd...

I'm not sure what you're asking here? Are you asking if 8GB is enough space?

@ yes. Maybe the SO uses more space for something else and with my 8Gb I've been pushing the pwnagotchi to the limit hahaa. Cuz it really takes literally DAYS to be fully on. It's always like it takes days to draw the whole screen lol

I've given the newly created image sufficient time on its first boot to create its keys. Still the device is never acknowledged by either of the usb C ports. Macbook pro max m3 Sanoma 14.6.1. I swapped out the data cable and still nothing. I think the new os has changed something . The device is never ackowledged and not listed n termional as attached. So there is no service to add or configure under Network. With this video only 3 mo old it may already need updating.

Great stuff. Pwnagotchi works like gold. I have one question, what do you need to do to have the information displayed turned 180 degrees? How do you do it softly, without turning the display?
