@@dermot51 Wow, that's one of their early ones, good old Noddy and friends. Think my first trip to the local record shop was in 1972 for Love Train by the O'Jays, which I later 'traded' for Virginia Plain 🤔. Still love that O'Jays record though 🤫. Grew up on 60's music, older siblings had many hit records of the time 👍.

Hi, I'm using a Line 6 Amplifi amp which has some built in effects :)

I'm afraid Jason to say this is not how you play the original version. Your lesson is great, your interpretation is good. But actually the original is played in open E, tuned down a half step. You can clearly hear that open Eb chord ringing out, the intro walk down is from the A string 5th fret, the rest I'm sure you can work out.

Great lesson! Over the years whatever I used I could never get close to Phil's sound on those opening chords. Then I found this: www.muzines.co.uk/articles/manzanera-memories/4880. I'd never associated Phil with open tuning, but he actually uses something similar to open E (E, B, E, G#, E (would be B for open E) and E) so the intro is just one finger on the B string, going 5th, 4th, 3rd and 2nd, with the other strings open and ringing. Give it a try!
