I AM a BROADCASTER and just ordered this MIC...very excited about receiving the SILVER/CHROME version for $23 on AMAZON!!! GR8 vid man and I also own Pyle MIK & 58 mics too and my listeners tell me I sound my BEST with them compared to my more expensive USB/CONDENSER mics. You just cannot beat a great DYNAMIC mic like the PYLE. I'm tired of people who DO NOT know how to use these mics BASHING Pyle. This particular 42 mic needs to be used up close and personal. It is a SUPERB BROADCAST mic and THX for actually using it for the vid. OBTW...30Hz-15KHz is very W-I-D-E FREQUENCY RTESPONSE!!! Like the way it brings out the BASS in your voice without subduing the MIDS and HIGHS. Very FLAT FREQUENCY RESPONSE...prob + or - 2 Db. Use a sock or windscreen to reduce POOF sounds.

This is the second video on this mic I have watched. I think the sound quality is great. It does not sound tinny. Your voice sounds pretty rich and the low end is not bad.

Is this microphone suitable for recording songs?

would it be possible if i just stood the mic upright and linked to a 6.3 to 3.5 mm adapter and plug that into my pc? or would my pc not recognize it?

I have this one in rose gold but it’s more expensive and higher in quality. As you said it’s great for live performances But I used it today as a studio mic and it didn’t sound that good but will it improve if I add a pop filter and isolation panels Or should I buy another actual studio Mic?
@cine-ish3 жыл бұрын
Just buy an actual condenser mic, there's no point in trying to remedy the dodginess of the mic just for studio recording when you will waste less time with a better mic

how does this compare to the 55sh? is the 55sh 6x better as it is 6x more expensive? or would you say it's twice as better, or that much better at all? thanks!
@vhollund7 жыл бұрын
hantdrew Don't expect this kind of insight here ;) probably pretty close to the new ones it is basically a 57 capsule in a bigger chassis

Is not that all dynamic microphone need a preamp or microphone, including shure. On frequency response it is 30hz to 15khz, which better than shure, which is 50hz to 15khz. Is not it??

They are all the same the Pyle ones are but they make good kick microphones for drums but honestly other than that they are a Pyle of crap lol get it Pyle but they are good enough to use
@nickf.28713 жыл бұрын
You need one with a crystal element for a good vintage mic new products like them are gonna be crap because the trash manufacturers are remaking old styles with new cheap crap since it doesnt perform well and at 35 bucks you can find the real thing people dont know what to sell those for half the time because the timeline isnt nearly complete

Xlr cables are balanced
@randomgeocacher5 жыл бұрын
2:38 TS must be unbalanced, one cable less than 3pin XLR; you need TRS (3pin) for balanced mono, right?
@CSPTech5 жыл бұрын
Correct! I recommend the monoprice XLR cables, they work great for a good price. I use the 6ft ones. If you're in canada, you can get them on Amazon Here's the link to all the different sizes! bit.ly/2EKavDE

sounds like 57
@independentjames16 жыл бұрын
Not even close to a 57,it can't take any real level of sound presure whatsoever,it's a toy ,,,I've been an engineer (certified) working in pro studios for 30 years.Put a 57 on a snare,,then they this toy on it,,,shit,shit,shit sound,,it does not have the same heads as a 57 .I took this shit apart and pulled the head out,,plastic Chinese crap toy.

Not necessarily, the cable that are shipped with xlr mics are usually absolute dogshit so using the one shipped with the mics aren't a good judge of character
@independentjames17 жыл бұрын
That thing is a toy,,,tried one out myself ( I'm a certified audio engineer),,,that toy can't take any kind of SPL,,if you sing with power it distorts,,,total garbage.if you are looking for a GOOD REAL vintage style mic just get a Shure
@CSPTech7 жыл бұрын
+Jamez Blackjack haha yeah it's not amazing. I looked at the 55sh quite a few years back, this was mostly just a throwback for a laugh.

Of course, go and get a Shure 55Sh with those 35 bucks, i have the same exact and yeah, it's not a high quality mic but please, give it a break! you're comparing a 35$ mic with a 150$ mic, you're not fair with the cheap mic. I use it for live gigs (small ones) and it works good! it got a little digital hiss but is really minimum, i think for 35 bucks you have a great deal (more with that nice retro design)
