I was very lucky to have very good martial arts instructors. Your students are excellent and are the result of having a good instructor. It seems that most students especially in Korean forms are very sloppy, and don’t illustrate a lot of power. I was lucky to have great instructors and your students are lucky to have you

This is phenomenal Sensei Ichikawa, very similar to our own Kyokushin Karate's Pinan Sono Ni (second) of the Pinan katas, of which we have five of them. I can see that many of the bunkai (applications), are pretty much the same, along with the overall pattern of the kata, as well as the rhythm, timing, pauses in between each movement, the stances and also the footwork. I am not surprised as to why the legendary Chuck Norris, originally also from Tang Soo Do, has still in his own martial arts system, retained pretty much all of Tang Soo Do techniques, while adding elements of Brazilian jiu-jitsu, Muay Thai, boxing, Enshin Karate, as well Kyokushin Karate elements, to his own art of Chun Kuk Do. Excellent instructional video as always. With all due respect Sensei Ichikawa, what is the significance of your black belt with the golden outline, in contrast with your father's black belt, with the red outline? I know in allot of martial arts systems such as judo and jiu-jitsu for example, a solid red or a red with white belt and so forth, are to denote the ranks of senior masters in those arts, in comparison to the other black belt ranks.
