I mean it's extremely rare that writers for multiple partner romance actually comit the harem ending. Instead they retreat to a single couple or even make different endings for each route (if they actually put closer to it and don't stay ambiguous for the reader ad vitam aeternam). But MonolithSoft are a whole different breed of writers, without shy for unorthodox decision. And I love them for it (still more team Pyra for which wife is the best).

“Do you truly want it thus, oh ye voices?” Uh, well, I had decided that Rex letting go of his infatuation with “perfect girls” Pyra and Mythra was a key for him to begin growing up, where he would then get to know Nia better since she had admitted her love for him. Then the writers decided to go the harem route so people would stop calling the KID an annoying wimp. Thematically, the decision really wrecks the resolution of the plot and turns it into a shallow power fantasy.🫠
