When Praxidike Ming first asked the Belter where Mei was, he asked in Standard English and the Belter ignored him. When Prax asked again in Belter Creole, the Belter answered him. Although in the novels there was a distinct visual diference between Belters and Inners, I think in the series they highlighted the language difference in this instance to highlight Prax being identified as a Belter and spared. Interestingly, this was the first time that Drummer (actor Cara Gee) got a character named credit. We've seen her in several episodes, but she was only credited as "Colonel Johnson's Second in Command." She's a badass, for sure. You're right that some Belters still see Fred as an Earther, even though Drummer has given him her loyalty. Amos was quick to accept Prax's presence to save his daughter...Amos always votes to save a child.

Yeah I had a bit of difficulty knowing if Prax is a Belter or not, since he doesn't have tattoos or has the belter accent ( like Diogo or Dawes), kinda sounds a bit Jamaican to me. Drummer is a really cool character, and yeah she is devoted to Fred, he must have done something big for her to be so devoted. The more I know about Amos the more I want to hold him in my arms and tell him that everything is ok and I'm here to protect you.

The OPA has too many radical factions to be trusted with something as powerful as the proto-molecule and Fred knows it. Those rebellious guys that took control of the Tyco bridge wanted to immediately launch the missiles at earth. That's crazy! The belt has zero chance in a conflict with earth or Mars. Fred wants leverage to improve conditions for belters. The radical factions want revenge. He wasn't elected or chosen by belters but he is one of the most level headed people trying to help the belt. Drummer knew Dawes' words could sway belters. That's why she wanted Fred to listen to the message privately. That single message led to a full on mutiny. He painted Fred as an earther and ignored all he's done to help

yeah of course they cannot be trusted, they almost go by instinct instead of thinking ahead. they just want revenge for what has been done to them.

I can see why you think that Dawes conspired with Drummer and the others. What we saw happen in the previous episode is that Dawes realised that Fred Johnson wasn't telling the truth, so he approached Holden and Naomi, but they wouldn't help him. Then he approached Drummer and tried to sweet-talk her, but she wouldn't help him. So he went to Diogo who is young and naive, so Dawes was able to manipulate him into telling him about Cortazar, the scientist. Amos wasn't involved - he's clearly been on a bender as he looks like he's not been sleeping or showering, he's wearing someone elses' jacket, he's been in a fight and he'd got glitter on him. Clearly something is wrong with him.

The show leaves it very ambiguous about Drummer's allegiance, even suggesting that she is on Dawes' side with the message from him to her before he arrives at Tycho, them going to the bar together to talk about old times but we don't see it, and her wanting Dawes' message to Fred to be viewed in private in the office not on the big screen in the control room. The audience is led to suspect by suggestion, if not by direct evidence. Only in the control room attempted take-over to gain control of the missiles do we see for sure that Drummer is on Fred's side.

@@Sinewmire that's clear in retrospect, but still vague on a first viewing. Drummer could have just let a few things slip and deliberately or inadvertently told Dawes that Diogo was the person to ask for more details.

Great reaction and analysis! In this episode we are properly shown that Drummer is loyal to Fred and she is an absolute badass!! See you noticed that Amos was looking at the name Lydia on the screen. She must have been on his mind. You asked a question we all asked.... what happened to him? If you pay attention as the show progresses the answers will be revealed... bit by bit. Watching the inners being spaced was shocking. One this show does is make you understand that just because someone is an underdog doesn't mean they're the good guys... You are introduced to a new character " Prax!" Looking forward to the next one!

Ganymede is pronounced with the last "e" silent. "Gan-a-meed" Also, it's "Dawes" not "Dahns", there is no "n". It's pronounced like puppy "paws" not the morning "dawns"

@@MattNolanCustom "Ganymede" is not an English word, nor Portuguese. It's Greek. "Ganymede" is the English version, and "Ganimedes" is the Portuguese version. In Portuguese it does have 4 syllables, and ends with an "S" sound I think.

Drummer smoking that thug as she limped out gutshot was a beautiful moment. The political "Freedom Fighters for Belters" facade of the OPA is starting to crack. Most of the active factions are simply criminal gangs united by greed, envy and hatred. Their entire ideology is based on piracy and vengeance. Johnson is among the few OPA leaders with any idea of the realities of the situation in the System. The Belt cannot survive for long without the Inners, but the reverse is not true. Even Dawes has lost his perspective with the opportunity presented by the nukes and the Protomolecule and moved straight to consolidating his power with terrorism and murder.

It's because they're anarchists - they only associate as long as it suits them. That's the problem with freedom, unfortunately. The inners need the Belters. The water they mine and haul back to earth and mars is essential to combat the climate disaster Earth is suffering, and the Martian terraforming project.

Another great reaction with some insightful contemplation. To maybe clear up one thing: the Belter who said, "Earth and Mars wreck Ganymede," only knew that the UN and Martian fleets were fighting above Ganymede, destroying the orbital mirrors and wreaking havoc on the station. The Belt doesn't know who fired first, and most of them don't care. To them, it's just another example of the Inners making life worse for the Belters, and they're not exactly wrong. Their conclusion that they should mistreat non-Belters out of spite is wrong, though. Anyway, buckle up. Stuff's about to get wild!
