Visitors to the Lake Eland Game Reserve in South Africa were speculating on what might be in the snake's bulging belly. When the snake died and rangers performed a necropsy, they found the porcupine. It ate it head-first, quills smoothed down. It died when it felt threatened by the humans and tried to regurgitate the porcupine to disencumber itself and run away faster, causing the quills to stab their way into its insides. "fun" fact: moray eels use something similar when eating lionfish, eating it head-first and squeezing its quilled fins flat down to avoid being stung.
