Tomo, Your videos are always great and they inspire me to play! I've been working on chord tone intervals a lot recently and it really does change everything. It opens up so much and let's you have some fun transitions. I find it leaves room for other instruments too. You're the best!! Thanks for all the great lessons.

It's interesting, even at my re-beginner stage, how thinking a bit about theory as relates to the fretboard (e.g., parsing voicings, starting to learn various triad patterns, close listening to good performances by others) sometimes comes out as just your fingers gaining better intuition even when not sitting there "thinking about theory". I feel like this video is good for being explicit about that useful weirdness I'm trying to describe, relating theory and playing.

I will answer a question, please .., I think I have the answer but I want yours, why Bb7 and not A7 that we always see who teaches? ,, They tell us more "guitar" A .. I don't believe it much .. but why do you always move in Bb? First, I have been playing for a LONG time (longer than you have been alive, for sure) and I am "OK". But when you start talking about 'root, third, seventh" I have NO IDEA what you mean (I never took lessons). Where do you think someone like me should go to learn these things? Or perhaps it's too late.

As always...great lesson. Btw, I’m still confuse on how to practice using metronome. For example, do i need to hit the note during the click or after the click sound? In this example, you hit the first note after the click sound. Then, when practising speed using metronome...maybe for example alternate picking using scale, 8th/16th notes, etc.....i do not know if i’m still following the metronome or not especially when the BPM increasing.. Do you have lesson on how to use metronome in a correct way? Thank you sensei

I want to ask u to listen to the closing time album by Tom waits, and perhaps put John mayer on to it too I think he's about the best guitar player going and it could influence him and honestly I want to see the result. Sad songs. Music hasn't made my cry ever i don't think but Jesus Christ

I like all Tomo's vids. But this one didn't really help me understand more deeply how you solo better over chords. I know theory well, but just can't get to soloing over different chords with confidence. I can do simple I-IV-V, but just can't break into the next level. Where I come from we call it "trackin' the chords".

Most of my solos are already 1/2 way composed or I already know what sounds as my phrases. Just like a song has lyrics right?
