I completely agree on the "not friending anyone who I didn't meet organically"...Not even sure why somebody would want to befriend someone who they've never seen. To be fair these days I'm quite honest and straightforward with people and I tell them to their face "Sorry but right now I'm not looking for a new friendship, I don't socialize much and the little I do I rather spend with my existing friends"...I feel a bit bad about that sometimes when somebody is really trying to connect, but I wont be emotionally bullied into spending time with someone, just to be nice.

I made the mistake of adding every furry I saw in Counter Strike to my steam friend list, so now I have a friend list of 100+ people I don't even know. I just need to start over with only people I know and any friendships that may develop organically after that. Despite good intentions, it's unrealistic to try to be friends with everyone; there just isn't enough time in the day.

I completely understand the whole thing about not being crazy about getting a fursuit. Heck, that's why certain furries love VRchat so much. They can get a custom model of their fursona at a much lower price and in a way that's arguably more accessible. Plus, they don't have to worry about upkeep and storage.

Thank you so much for the recommendations for new VRC players! I spent a few hours this week trying on wonderful avatars thanks to your advice and found something I really click with. hey! been watching you for months, so hopefully i can add a question for ur next session. I know you didn’t make ur avatar, but do you might know anything about how the creator went about doing the fur? It looks especially well done, and would love to learn that technique

Had 34 degrees here today! (Hungary). I don't really agree regarding replacing the index tho', when it comes to lack of options. I've replaced my index with the Q3, and believe me it's like a much improved index! With the pretty big added benefit of being wireless (wireless PC VR, steamlink has worked wonderfully for me so far) if you want to be, and can still use FBT if you already have the lighthouses (which you do if you are replacing your index). The only bit of it that's lacking compared to the index are the speakers. The mic is basically just as good as my index was, as you can attest to it, since we've chatted in VRC a few time since I had it :D But yea I wish it had face/eyetracking. For that there are truly no viable options right now, which is very annoying.

5:22 Thanks for answering my question. I didn't realize I typed being a furry for a year and a half and that was wrong, I been a furry since August 2023 so about 10 months now, whoops. Also, I wished there were local furmeets but there are none where I live sadly. I live in the most boring state in the US where there is never any fun special events being held. That is why I asked that question but thank you for the tips Vox.

1:06:22 FINALLY SOMEONE SAID IT. I've done so much research on this topic and you are correct. first lgbt people are more sex positive then non lgbt people. there was a study on gay bar hookups vs non gay bar hookups and gay bar hookups were way more likely to happen and secon furries aren't necessarily more sexual they're just more open to talk about it and this is backed by furscience

Ah yeah, regarding my avatar, not sure exactly which are they referring to, my small one is the Fluffsel from WieselRobot, the big one is a heavily blendshaped Cat from Tosca (would not really recommend since its a bit borked on the weight paint), it doesn't hold a candle to Wiesels ava

Who knows what the successor to the Valve Index will have. The only problem is that Valve works according to Vale time. So you never know when they will release something new.
