It is very beautiful and at the same time motivating. I'm not talking about a live video, just a longer video showing what your training in the mountains is like. you are very inspiring.

Solid QnA 👍 Re: training with only 1 SB, one way I have been trying to make use of 1 Sb (~100lbs) is to do different versions of same movement. With the example of Sb to shoulder, besides the "usual" way, I have been experimenting with variations like: doing it more hinge-y, catching it more explosively, doing it half-kneeling, doing it while seated (straddling the bags), adding "partial reps" (like 1 high pull -> 1 to shoulder),... Makes training really fun 😂

- I used a single sandbag for a while, it was great at first, but eventually I just needed another one, specially as warm up. To your point, it’s tough shouldering 200 lbs as your first set 😅. - Shoulder carries are brutal for the core! - Haha great point on the body dysmorphia, zooming out and looking at it from a different perspective. Whenever I’m feeling down, I always go back to something I heard from Mr Robot, compared to the cosmic calendar, our lifetime, hell even humanity as a whole is just a blip, a blink compared to billions of years of the universe’s existence - hey didn’t know you were into barefoot shoes too! Come to think of it, you always train barefoot! Unfortunately vivobarefoot’s quality has been going downhill the last few years. I’ve yet to find a barefoot shoe brand I really like

Its interesting you say a carry should likely be heavier than a shouldering. I know that you know broad statements will always have outliers and chances are I may be an outlier but I couldn't imagine doing a bear hug carry with my max sandbag to shoulder weight. For me I lean back a good deal to shoulder bags and quite simply, my upper back isn't as strong as my abs so it'd fold me like a pretzel the first couple steps I'd take bear hugging my max shoulderimg weight haha.

@thestonecircle2 ай бұрын
Hey thanks I can add this to my qna list! There are a few different ideas I have but my favorite would be to just keep the volume on the lower end, closer to 5 heavy shoulders per side rather than 15, 5x3 vs 10x3 on the high pulls, 1 or 2 sets of carries rather than 3 etc. You could try to increase density over time without increasing sandbag weight, getting more work done in that hour, or keep the volume lower and just keep adding weight

Hey, do you have any recommendation for wrist discomfort/pain? I've recently started with sandbags training. Got mine last week, did 4 sessions so far, 15 or almost 15 sandbags to shoulders with 50kg, want to stay at this weight for a month, maybe two, to prepare my body. Mixed with some callistenics (pushups, dips and pullups) and some dumbbells (curls and shoulder presses). Problem is on my last session and especially today (working out right now) started feeling discomfort on my wrists. Especially when lifting the SB from the ground. Have you ever faced this?
@thestonecircle2 ай бұрын
Hey I have some questions about the wrists on my list for qna videos, but short answer, it might be your wrists getting used to being in more of a false grip position. It can take a while to adapt to lifting with bent wrists like that, I remember when I first started I used to get strange sensations in my forearms, but it went away after a while. It could be worth doing most of your sets lifting the sandbag from a platform for a while while your wrists adapt to the stress of lifting off the ground, slowly making your way back to starting everything from the ground over a month or two!
