For the woman who asked about going from two incomes to one income ... I would recommend not just doing it on paper, but actually set aside the one income into savings for a couple of months before you quit your job. That will help you decide if you really can get by on one income AND you will also have saved a chunk of money for any future emergencies.

I have found that if I go on the budget plan for my electric, which takes care of my heat and air that because it’s the same amount every single month it’s easier to budget

I am trying to focus on one thing at a time. I have a goal to pay off my car loan in half the time. I am a little ahead of that goal but it means i cant put as much on the mortgage.

Hi Katherine, I don't use the envelope system. I use the Every Dollar app to keep track of my different money buckets.
