Being a present stay at home mom beats sitting in a corporate office cubicle any day of the week! Staying home and tending to the kids, and husband and being there for them and making a house a home is a blessing! 🙏 Wouldn’t change it for the world! 🥰🥰🥰

agreed... taking care of your family and home is the most important 'job' you will ever have. And from one who does not have children of her own, working in the corporate world (or any job) is repetitive and can be boring as well ! A lot of the negative comments come from people who are jealous because they feel they 'can't' stay home -- but if they did the math as it applies to their budget and eliminate some 'wants' that they have as 'needs'... they probably could stay at home ... or at least get a part time job ....

Being a happy, healthy mom is the best for your family. I am not a great SAHM, I don't feel like myself and it's just not a fit for my personality. I'm still a good mom. The best me works outside the home and if I'm the best me, I can be the best mom to my kids and STILL make a house a home.

As a single parent, I take care of my home, work from home, and homeschool my son. So a lot of home! It’s easy to occasionally slip into feeling like those responsibilities with which I’ve been blessed are “chores.” Thank you for the reminder to see and fully experience all of the joy to be had inside our homes!

Thank you SO MUCH for talking about how homemaking can be fulfilling and fun! Nowadays everyone seems to think that being a homemaker or stay at home mom is some kind of oppressive task. 🙄 I LOVE being a stay at home mom. It’s definitely not easy, but I don’t want to miss a second of my son growing up. And I want to create a warm home for my husband to enjoy after work as well. Absolutely nothing wrong with that! ♥️

Prayers for your next few weeks... enjoy them!

Having 3 sons and a husband to cook for and clean up after brought me so much fulfillment. I always felt like I wanted to do the best I could with as much enjoyment as I could for the family God had blessed me with. Our oldest son moved out on his own last year, and the laundry pile has shrunk, and i dont have to cook as much. I miss it already ! Philippians 2:14 . I never wanted to complain in front of my family and make them think taking care of my home and family burdened me in any way. It is a pure joy!

I am also a Christian homemaker/wife with 3 littles and a fourth blessing on the way. I totally agree with you that house chores can be a joy depending on your attitude and the way you look at all the work. I look at it as a way to serve God and my family. If I cook a meal and my family enjoys it, it brings me so much joy that I can be a blessing to my family in that way. Some days are hard, I won't lie. But I try to find the good things in every day and stay positive.

You are absolutely right "don't rain on my parade". I found more and more joy in all things home related as each child was added and the work load increased. I found enjoyment in being able to do special things for each child like making their favorite foods and doing special things with them. I seemed to thrive on the chaois that a full house creates. When "he" comes home you should always greet him with a smile, happy children and a good home cooked meal. Your job is not easy but oh so important. He should look forward to coming home to his family and the wonderful home that you have created for that family. You are the best Kim...

I worked for the federal government for 7 years before I had my first son. I resigned from work as soon as he was born. My in-laws were upset and I’m not sure why they were upset, but my husband and I had made the choice way before our son was born. I realize not everyone is able to stay home, but if you’re given the chance and you accept it, then it’s wonderful. I was given the chance and I have no regrets. I didn’t have my kids, so that someone else could raise them. Besides, child care in my area was so expensive too. I ended up writing my in-laws a nice email and basically told them in a nice way not to intervene. :)

I’ve been married for 34 years now and i do agree with you totally Kim. Whoever those folks are who say all those negative comments about marriage and it not being fun when you have a house full of children are talking rubbish. Yes, things are different, but with structure and planning, it can be a lovely fun experience. I even worked full time too. I cleaned my home, cooked & baked, played with my children, then after washing and bathing them, I read them stories and put them to bed. I taught them to cook, clean & iron. Yes it was harder the more children you had, but it was also fun. Keep enjoying it Kim and keep those communications open with Daryl. Work together as a team, help each other and compliment each other and you will have a long happy marriage with happy children and a clean house. Shared tasks also keep you happy, because a shared load is 1/2 work. Daryl helps you, which is lovely to see too. Also tell him, his pie he cooked looked delicious 👍🏻

Oh, i was looking to order branch basics. what was the stance? I am a norwex fan though and was only going to get the basics because my husband needs the "clean" smell.

I'd love to know, too. I can't find anything when I google it. I would also love to know what about the public school system Kim doesn't support. I find different points of view so interesting, and I always support anyone who lives their faith and sticks to their convictions, even when it's not popular or easy.

As I mentioned in another comment, I want to say this carefully because I don't want to say negative things about the company Branch Basics. They have chosen to only support people (influencers & affiliates) that support gay marriage. As a company, they have every right to make that decision for their business. However, I disagree with their "stance" on this topic, so I have chosen not to support/endorse them anymore. I hope this answers your questions!

Thanks for your question! I answered the part about branch basics in the comment above, but as far as the public school system, there really are several things. I'm afraid I can't fit it all into this text but I would say one of the top things would be that schools teach Evolution and I believe in The Creation. I believe God created this earth in 6 days & rested on the 7th. Thank you for being so respectful in asking, I appreciate that! Have a good day!

Thank you for sharing your life so honestly, simply and yet, respectfully. I really look forward to your videos and am relieved to see you're doing so well. :) Your Mom must be amazing, because you are incredible and have more home (AND LIFE) skills than most ppl twice your age. Wishing you the very best and awaiting the next installment... :D

Amen I had people say those things to it’s just a damper..... I have 5 kids under 8 and yes it’s stressful but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Mostly my health went down hill after my 4th and I’m slowly recovering. The oldest also has special needs so that throws a harder aspect of things and I’m homeschooling. We have a lot going on but I wouldn’t trade my family. Thanks for being honest about branch basics.

Unloaded/loaded my dishwasher while watching. Fun video! I enjoy Q&A’s. Fun fact: figured out that your husband’s mom is my first cousin (my Dad was her Dad’s youngest brother). Blessings to you both as you take on the new role as parents!

Good for you. Don't ever back down. The bummer is, once you see some certain atrocities, you can never un-see them. The upshot is that there are lots of wonderful, Christian companies that will fill every void. God is great.

It's always fun seeing how Halloween have a complete different meaning in USA. Here la Toussaint is the holidays for the family "spirits". We honour our dead ancestors and their soul.

i live in the USA, specifically about an hour away from Kim, and i also don’t interpret halloween as a devil holiday! It originated in Ireland as a festival to dress up and ward of ghosts, and overtime evolved in dressing up and getting candy! Not really much to do with the devil lol I don’t really get why religious people interpret it that way

I felt the same about Branch Basics. SO bummed but couldn't use that product knowing they discriminate against my faith. A great alternative I found for BB is Molly's Suds! Loving it so far! :) I would also add... what you said about being married can apply to having kids, too. I had twins this past November and heard a lot of, "Oh you're never going to sleep" and "You'll never have any free time" when I was pregnant. People can automatically talk about kids like they are a burden, not a blessing. Is having children hard? Yes, sometimes. But overall they are such a blessing and gift. If I wanted to sleep a ton and do whatever I wanted, whenever I wanted, I wouldn't have kids! I know not everyone realizes they are doing this, but if I get a negative comment I will usually say, "they're my greatest gift" or "I am so blessed to be their mom."

In addition to being an MLM, Melaleuca green washes. If you read the actual ingredients you’ll find that they aren’t as clean as they claim. There are much better companies out there.
