You look absolutely stunning in this video. Outfit, hair, makeup, and accessories all are perfect!!! I so appreciate your candor in all areas of your life. You have done so much since moving in it’s unbelievable considering your husband had to have surgery and a long recovery. Enjoy him while he is at home. There’s time to do all home renovations later, you’re not going anywhere 😊. Honestly I only have three girls (in close succession) some days if they were all fed, clean, and read to I considered it a completely successful day. We too only have DVDs and not internet. My kids from ages 5-13 have really been enjoying Sabrina the Teenage Witch. There are a lot of seasons (I got the complete series on Amazon) and it’s nice to pop in a 20 min video at the end of the day. As far as food quantities, we are a family of 8 and eat about the same amount as your family of 13 (maybe even more 😬). 😆 At least it’s helps with these crazy grocery costs. Keeping up with laundry has never been hard for me, it’s all the stuff that needs put away daily, floor debris, cooking 3 meals a day plus bedtime snack, and homeschooling that take my attention and work.

We are huge about education, college is not optional in our home or they will be moving out. I now it sounds harsh, but as we both didn’t go to college right after HS, its been a struggle getting to place where we make enough money to help comfortable without an education . Even if its a tech school or a 2 year degree. I know some parents are like its ok, but as an immigrant and him a black male, they already going to be facing setbacks, as sad as that may be.

I need you as a little angel sitting on my shoulder throughout my day. I live in a very small home with 4 kids and my husband. We have out grown the place and I am very unhappy here. With the prices of rent these days we are stuck here. I need to start looking at the positives. I have a roof over my head, we have plenty of food in our cabinets and my husband has a good job. Thanks for the reminder to stay positive!! ❤❤

Hello Jessica, family, and feathered friends. We have two little doggies and they went to their update appt. in June, when we left there the bill was near 700.00, not to mention all the flea and tick treatments, dog food is expensive. My husband is responsible for our land and getting what the doggies put down...lol. Keep on healing Nathan, you got this. You might get used to being home....then comes that thing called work. I homeschool my boys. They love it. It gets difficult for me sometimes because I really don’t feel like it but I push through. I’m a single dad. I work overnights as a firefighter and homeschool during the day.

I think u r smart in waiting for a dog, u also have 2 consider how often u r / are not home, in.my opi ion if u r gone alot, u might wanna wait unless u get a "lap" dog so it can go with b u! Having ANY animal especially a dog r MORE time consuming than we sometimes realize...

With you homeschooling your kids I think you could use making bread as part of a science thing because when you add the East sugar and water together there's a reaction and there's a scientific explanation for that and then you add the flour and you let it rise there's also a scientific explanation for that so you could include that in your school curriculum as well just quite literally food for thought😂

Your home and land are absolutely beautiful. I can say one thing all of the older kids look after the younger ones you and Nathan have great kids and you are so patient. You will love your land more and more. You can get a free water test kit from Health Dept and I think they ship it off for you or give you the package to ship. We just wanted to make sure our water had no bacteria in the water after it was worked on. I love well water. I love your amazing family and God bless all your family!

I think you’re doing an amazing job and have accomplished so much in two short months. On top of all that continue to raise 11 babies and take care or Nathan and get one of the girls ready for wisdom tooth surgery. I’m sure you and Nathan watch the babies around the pond. What?!?!! A 50 lb chicken feed bag for $12?!!! I’m in Washington state and the very best price we ever get is $18 for 40 lb.but it’s more commonly $25-35 for 40 lbs!! Gas is nearly $5/gallon right now too. I’ve heard recently that gas prices in Florida are around $3.50 a gallon. Man, I’m in the wrong state! Great video. Thanks, Jessica!

So I looked at Tractor supply a 50lb bag is 26.99. We’ve been getting it from the local feed store bc it’s cheaper. So it’s been cheaper than the 26.99 😂🤦‍♀️🤪 goodness I was way off…

​@@FieldsFullHouseI buy from tractor supply and I get a 50 bag of the pellets not the crumble and I pay $15 for pellet feed. I don't like the crumbles because the chickens waste the crumbles. An aerator is what you need for sulphur water. They can be quite expensive. I live apprx 80 miles west of you in Jacksonville. I live in Suwannee County a little town called O'BRIEN.

I watched this video and didn't see when you asked for questions. My thoughts watching were how do you afford health insurance on all your children? I cannot imagine your power bill, water bill, and grocery bill especially in today's society and inflation. I never could have children because we had a mortgage and 2 car payments so we both had to work. I got married in 1982. I know times are different so I'm just curious how anyone can afford to have so many children now. God Bless you!

We have health insurance through Nathan’s job. We pay for the family, doesn’t matter how many kids you have. For years we had cars/minivan that we paid cash for so we didn’t have a payment, so I could stay home with our kids. The only other answer that I can give is God provides! He knows our needs and they are met.

I am with you. I am a busy body too. If im sitting then im usually feeding a baby lol and checking emails or eating myself. I try to do other things while sitting. Unless i am absolutely exhausted or sick which is rare. I mean I am always tired lol but like during pregnancy stages or something. I have only 8 kids. Ages range 25,23,21,11,7,4,2,& 1 month. And we are expecting our 1st granddaughter in November.

Bedtime are usually different during summer months, I remember those days, School start than bedtime were a little early if hard to make children to go to sleep when it's light outside. I have good friend growing up and she was the oldest of 9 she watch them many times and help her mom getting them ready for bed why someone would question if a mom cutting grass who watching your kids, lol

I get rattlesnakes, coyotes. Foxes, mountain lions and bears as far as what can really hurt you. I always get wow how can you live with all that. But its just what we are use too

Does most country areas in Florida have sulfur water? I live in the country in another state and just because it’s country doesn’t mean there’s sulfur water here. We don’t have sulfur.

In our area, most likely in the country you have well water and that has the sulfur in it. So yes, that’s common here.

But Jessica surely the kids need alot of protein for their growth. The Chicken and meat is vital for bones. The kids ,in general look very thin .Are they in the correct weight category?.Teenage boys require 52 g daily and girls 46 g daily. My intention is not too offend,but there's been alot of problems for children recently on KZbin. Many thanks

Protein is important. I serve it with our meals and we do smoothies often with protein added. They all are in the correct wait. It’s genetic… I was a small kid and so was Nathan. Plus they play and run around a lot. No offense taken at all.

I was referring to the feed. The coop is expensive! But could also build one out of reclaimed/repurposed materials.

I’ve had chickens for years and we’ve never taken them to a vet. We research how to keep them healthy ourselves. I don’t even think we have a vet that sees chickens where I live! I have a little chicken first aid drawer ready for any emergencies along with preventative sprays and such.

This has been my understanding as well from what I’ve researched and talked to friends. Any ailments that may arise in the chickens, you mange it yourself.

I have owned chickens all of my 66 years of life and my parents and grandparents before that. I nor did they ever take a chicken or chickens to a veterinarian. We feed, water, give them a food grade wormer, electrolytes. They free range and they have a fenced run and a coop.
