Fantastic video! Big fan here and congratulating this community asking questions & Swedish plant guy's⚘ care to specify & clarify. I came herr for 1 point & learned from all. Love the format of written question w/time stamp & reference to earlier video instead of searching trying to remember and find. I love smart people!😎 QUESTION PLEASE: when you refer to clay included with pumice. Would it be acceptable to crush LECA clay balls? Thank you & my very best to you!

Hello guys! I discovered your videos and I'm watching with big interest. I am still a newbie, but I have quite a few Philodendrons, Monsteras (Variegata), Syngonium,Jewel Orchid etc.. I would love it if you guys make a Video about Philodendrons, how to use pumice with it, care in general. Tips about Pink Princess, Lemon Lime, Variegated Plants etc. I am very interested also in Plants growing in terariums. I am thinking to plant my new baby Jewel Orchid in one. That might be also quite an intersting topic. or Calatheas? What is the best tip for potting my Monstera Variegata? I want to replant, I would love to use pumice but i am afraid to do something wrong... :)) Thanks in advance! Great Channel! :)

Thx for another great Q&A video. My question is concerning the notching procedure on the ficus plant you used as demo where you mentioned it should only be done to more mature/brown tree trunk and not green. Can you perform this procedure on any plant with mature/brown trunk? Thx. Keep up the great work!

Hi, hi! Thank you for another amazing video. Very informative! I was wondering if you could do a video focusing on how to tell the problem of a plant by looking at their leaves? I have a dwarf banana tree, its bottom leaves always yellow, brown and dry off. However, I am seeing those that are at the nursery could keep a lot of the bottom leave healthy when growing. I also have a Begonia Maculata, the older leave keep drying off from the edge and eventually fall off completely when it shoots out new growth. I have a humidifier around it. Not sure if it's the problem with the roots or humidity. But in general, I found Begonia is really hard. Sorry, so many questions. Feel free to break it into different parts if you have a chance to answer.

Hello Plantguys! Love your videos. My question is about Chlorophytum Comosum Variegatum. I have an older plant that produced eight stalks and many offshoots this summer. I've propagated most of the offshoots, though, I am not sure what to do with the long very healthy looking stalks. Should they be cut off or left to go back into the soil on their own. Thanks very much!

Hi thanks for the great videos and for the fabulous content that you provide. I live in Sweden and had a question about Pumice and growing vegetables. Can I add pumice instead of Vermiculite (which is popularly recommended) in my raised bed (pallkrage) vegetable garden along with soil and compost to improve in water retention and to improve air/drainage in the soil?

Can I add clay pellets into the pumice to help with absorption of nutrients if I can”t find the pumice/clay mix you use? Would it work the same? Or does it have to be a special type of powder clay ?

Ok so I have water wicking system in a maranta plant and it’s very happy. I don’t use pumice but a pretty good draining potting soil with perlite. My question is - what do we do when it is time to repot it in a bigger pot with a water wicking system like this as the plant grows bigger when it has a large water root system in the bottom pot? My maranta was in a small 4in or so pot with a water wick system when I bought it. It didn’t have any roots from the bottom of the pot when I bought it but it has shot out a lot of water roots into its bottom water pot - quite an extensive water root system over the last year I’ve had it. The plant has also grown a lot! It has probably tripled it’s size in less than a year. My concern is what do I do about repotting it to a bigger pot? Do I even need to do that? Since there are so many water roots shooting out of the bottom of the pot I can’t check the root system that is in the soil to see how pot bound it is or the water roots will get ripped off when I pull the plant up. And if I do repot it - I could cut the pot off but then how to get the water roots down the holes in a new larger pot? I have rooted cuttings in water from other plants and then potted them and I know how fragile water roots can be - I don’t think trying to poke or pull them down through the bottom holes in a new pot would go so well. If I just cut the water roots off I fear it would hurt the plant - I’m pretty sure a large portion of the new growth is being fed mostly from the water roots. If I let the water in the bottom pot run too low only one part of the plant will start to show signs of crispy leaves, so if I cut the water roots off then I worry I will lose about half the plant. I know this is a super long question but I really didn’t consider this and I have all my marantas and calatheas in these water wicking systems. My maranta I wouldn’t be too sad about leaving in this pot and never getting a huge plant, but for something like my orbifolias I obviously want to try to get them to grow as big as I can. Would just giving it a larger and larger bottom water pot for more water roots and more water negate the need to repot the soil part in a larger pot? I just wanted to ask all these questions because I feel like this is something I didn’t think about until now that this maranta has this huge root water root system and has grown so much. I love these water wicking systems they are so easy - especially for plants like marantas and calatheas - but if it is going to ultimately make growing my bigger calatheas as big as I can get them more difficult then I just wanted to get some more info before they too grow extensive water root systems like my maranta has. Thanks so much for any info and thank you for reading all this!

Could I notch the brown trunk or branch of a Crassula ovata 'Minima' above a node to encourage it to bud a new branch? If you notch and also cut the apex of a plant, will the notch have a higher chance to form a branch? Why does my Crassula ovata 'Minima' keep growing small roots at the nodes?
