I have to agree that aging has made me so much more resilient to criticism. Now, my sister, who loves me, ❤️ has her opinions about how I wear my hair and she is actually very savvy-her objective point of view is quite helpful! But OTHERS opinions just no longer matter and that is a huge benefit of aging. It’s freedom and I do enjoy that!

I will never understand the mindset of people who say women at a certain age should wear their hair short in this day and age. This is such an old way of thinking and it's sad how people believe this. It's actually a big pet peeve of mine. People should never lump all women into one category like that ever. Some women will look better as they age with shorter hair, some women will look better with longer hair as they age. It's an individual thing, not an age thing. So many factors play a role. I've seen women of a certain age who cut their hair short and it made them look older, so again not everyone fits in this "one hairstyle fits all" mentality that some how women have been trained to believe all these years. This is 2020, time to remove that thought process all together! I'm in my 50's and will wear my hair long, for as long as I feel. I think you have gorgeous hair Tammy and you look far from an old hag. Whoever said that is not only incredibly rude, but obviously miserable and likely insecure/jealous. Thanks for sharing this video with us on what you do. I'm off to finish watching! xo

I know I'm 63 years old I tried to let my hair grow out and yes I did look older I didn't think I did until I went back to cut my hair as short as Sharon Stone and I get so many compliments they say that my cheekbones were being hidden by my long hair they say I look 15 years younger some people can carry the long hair well like Tammy and some people like me can't

Tammy...luv, luv, your hair! I'm almost 70 & was blessed with thick hair. I went color free almost 3 years ago & was surprised when my hair grew in white! It's now below my shoulders & I love it. Unfortunately my daughter & daughter in law or both licensed stylist & they do not. I tell them when they put a roof over my head & food my table, then they can tell me what to do. I find that a good hair cut makes my hair style easier & gives me the movement I want & I dont have to wear it in a ponytail or up all the time even though my hair is quite heavy. My stylist is 75 & the most active man I know. He gives me tips & tricks all the time. He started me washing my hair once maybe twice a week, cuz it was so dry. When I do wash it, I give it lots of love. I do rinse with cold water at the end of my shampooing shower as well. I proctect my hair from the sun with a hat & I use lots of oils on my hair to keep it from getting too dry. You are such an inspiration to us older beauties. Keep going strong & the rest of the old hags will fall in right behind.

I really appreciate the time you spend making videos and sharing what you try. If people feel you spend too much time on your hair, then they need to know that they should not be coloring their hair. You are doing what is necessary to maintain healthy, color treated hair. As a woman who does not have children, I admire your devotion to Lou and your pets. I love that you call out comments about that. Your time is just as valuable as anyone else's. Shame on them for spending time watching your videos and commenting with judgement if they don't have time for selfcare. Lastly, I stopped coloring my hair in my mid-40s because I hated sitting with chemicals on my scalp and having my lowlights fade so quickly. I loved seeing the pattern my gray took and highly recommend it to others who are contemplating growing their hair out.

It looks AWFUL and I AM DEVASTATED. Tammy, your hair is GLORIOUS and I'm so glad you keep it long (and haven't listened to the busy bodies who think only 20 & 30 yrs old can have long hair). You are a GORGEOUS WOMAN, and I think some ppl are just plain old jealous of you (not that it makes their awful comments any better). Thanks for all the WONDERFUL tips. Much love, Stacy

I saw a video you did 2 years ago...your hair looks much better now..you can see results when you put time and effort into your scalp health in addition to using vitamins and nutrition to improve hair, skin and nails.

OMG, how can anyone be critical about your hair. There are no ‘rules’ about hair. You look great in your long hair, however I do not, even though I had very long hair when I was younger. You need to figure out what looks best for you at your age and stage. If I could have longer hair in my later years, hair I totally would. You go for it girl!

5 minutes into this video and I have to pause to say shame on the hateful comments! Those people are not part of the ageless beauty gang! And you are so right about making the time. I am a cosmetologist and salon owner of 13 years. I swear by hair masking and when my clients say they don't have the time I say, "do you sleep?" Throw that hair mask in before bed and rinse it out in the morning! No excuses! Love you Tammy!!😍 *side note* literally just finished my facial with you from your facial video 9 years ago! I watch it and do that facial at least once a month 🤗

I recently had to chop off my hair into a bob because of sudden extreme hair loss a couple of months after an illness, but I am all on board with my usual long streaky gray hair and I don’t give a flying flip what anyone else thinks about it. I have a job where people will come by and comment on whether they like or don’t like it. They’re entitled to their opinion, but like I said it’s really only whether I like it or not that matters to me. You do you😁. I always find it interesting that people think it’s OK to comment on someone’s appearance, when they’re telling me, for instance, that my hair doesn’t suit my complexion or whatever, in my head I’m thinking of all the things I could say to them about their appearance but would never in a million years do so. Always be kind & if you don’t have something nice to say keep it to yourself is what I live by.

People that comment about wearing your hair short should keep their views to themselves. You’re a beautiful woman and your hair is beautiful. I think I said this on your channel before ; I have worn my hair long all my life and I am 64 years old and no one is telling me to cut it short or stop dying it ever! As far as I’m concerned, I intend to fight aging as much as I can way up until the end. Stay safe!

Tammy's Ageless Beauty what she said is true. I’ve experienced something similar. Even though you know it’s not true and it’s their insecurities coming out, it still hurts. It even changed my outgoing personality somewhat. I was so caught off guard. You’re a breath of fresh air and I enjoy everything you share. I struggle with menopausal hair so this topic is a hot one for me. Have a beautiful day my friend 💛

I am 61 years old and my hair, although not quite as long as yours, looks very much the same, color and all. I use masks and the same hot rollers with velvet on them. I have NEVER used curling irons. They are too rough on hair, you're right. I LOVE LOVE your attitude. It's OUR hair and we should not give AF about what anyone else says. I think you look gorgeous. I can't believe how evil some people can be. It takes a lot of courage to do what you're doing and I bet the ones that make the hateful comments don't have the guts to do a YT channel. Thank you again for all your helpful tips! You go girl!!

Thanks for all the info! At 54 I’m washing my hair every other day and find it helps a lot with the dryness, but still need more oil- thanks for the recommendations! Your hair is lovely. I remember when you almost grew out your grey/white hair- I still feel that it would look gorgeous on you with your skin tone, but your blond is beautiful too! Thanks for all the positive words Tammy, blessings.

You are an inspiration...and so beautiful. Jealousy is a terrible thing and it's very obvious the criticism coming from a few comes from a place of jealousy and their own insecurity. You are so inspirational to so many of us...Aging is not easy in this world we are living in...thank you Tammy, keep up your great videos.❤

I could just imagine what , the followers would say about me, and my hair. Your right when you say ,it’s all in the Genetics, and you were blessed. I love watching you on KZbin, over and over. I know you’ll always, keep it up. You look so beautiful, but your personality is just as beautiful. I’m older then you, and I keep my hair long, if I thought I looked ridiculous, I still wouldn’t cut my hair, I’d wear it up, a ponytail, or in a bun. We were both blessed, with beautiful hair.

Just found your channel. You and your hair are strikingly beautiful, catching my eye and interest enough to subscribe. I am a 61 yr old woman with long, blond, fine hair. I love my hair, but it's nowhere near as pretty as yours, and I damage it so much through neglect. I have now found my role model and hair mentor. Thank you!!!

I'm 75. I looked at all my pictures from my entire life, and the only ones I liked were with my hair long. So - I let it grow out. It's silver. I love it. I may look like a witch, but like you, I don't care. If it helps my confidence to have long hair at my age, why should anyone care? I oil my scalp and my strands twice a week. It does not take that long. I think you are GREAT! I enjoy your channel so much!

Hey Miss Tammy 😁 I keep coming back and rewatching your hair videos.... and each time learn more from the content AND the comments. I don’t know about “most” women but I actually really enjoy caring for my hair as much as I do my any of my beauty routines. It’s just always been my thing 🤷♀️ in fact probably the main thing I do to nurture my self. Plus the extra effort actually makes a huge difference! In my opinion, If there is ANY authority on having beautiful healthy hair at any age it’s Tammy’s Ageless Beauty channel. Period. I am so very thankful! ❤️🤗

Hi Tammy, thanks for all the information. One thing you didn't mention was water. When I lived in Delaware the water was fine. Since living in Florida (19 yrs. now) my hair didn't feel clean. About 4 yrs. ago we purchased a water softener. That really made a difference. Have a nice week.

you have the most gorgeous hair of any youtuber i have ever seen. you have helped so many people find the best in hair care, skin care, lifestyle, and fashion. you are smart enough to always ignore the naysayers. they are just dumb and jealous.

I am older than you, but I have taken care of myself, and gave up all sugar at 32 years old, and I make my creams and scrubs with foods and oils. I also love my hair longer too. I too don’t care what others say. You are beautiful and look gorgeous with long hair. I think people who give negative comments are not happy with who they are. I just found you a couple days ago, I think you are fabulous doing you! I appreciate your hair tips..Hugs sister!
