Travelling on my own was the best thing I ever did for my confidence, I used to really struggle a lot with it too, I booked a ticket to Cambodia in 2012 on my own for a month and just figured it out when I got there, travelled to Laos and Vietnam too.. had the best time ever, really helped me a lot. So it's a great idea to do it. It really enriches your personality and gives you a lot back.. you meet other travellers along the way and make new friends while you're there, great experience

I was born and grew up in NYC and well, just because you work there, you don't have to live there. For a time, I moved to Greenwich Connecticut and commuted (about 30-40 minutes). Greenwich is very upscale and has a residents only beach and lake so you could come home and sit eating dinner on the beach. But if you suffer from hayfever, the one time I was able to not have any symptoms was during my trip to the UK including London. Also, according to a work counterpart in the London office, despite the crowds, people don't jostle you as much. Once you leave NYC, you won't have that problem in the US cities I think.

Confidence comes with experience and you had a hard road with your self experience early on, you're further along than most so give yourself some credit... No one is ever totally confident within themselves because we are fluid and forever changing, you don't seem like someone who placates to people for validation and that is something a lot of people struggle with, you seem really genuine too and that's pretty rare in life, especially someone who's following the path you are on... I'm guessing that people think you're older because of your focus on yourself, most people focus on their relationships with others first for validation or furthering their lives/career/status but you are doing everything yourself and even planning to taking others along for the ride... I didn't focus on myself until I hit 30 and I know others that waited even longer, being selfish isn't a bad thing if you're a giver and it took me a long time to accept that, if you give everything of yourself to others and you don't put yourself first then you can't give what you don't have... I learned that the hard way when I realised I was number 4 on my list of people but you seemed to have picked that up better than the ♋ I lost learning that lesson, not being able to be depended on was really hard for me to give up after that but I had to do it to grow, I'm still there when I'm needed but I'm not the rock everyone leans on any more... Resting bitch face is a lot more intimidating on a guy, I know and I'm trying to smile more as a result, I'm guessing that you've been called an ice queen once or twice on account of RBF... People just don't talk to me when I look like a sourpuss and I'm an introvert in unknown situations anyway so it kinda suits me, I have been told by many people that it doesn't seem like I breathe when I talk in familiar situations though... It's called the wait awhile state for a reason, the eastern states is behind everywhere you want to live and WA is way behind them, it will keep you grounded in your travels because apart from Hobart there isn't really any other capital city in the world that is so far behind the curve... It seems to me that you are way too hard on yourself and I just felt that I needed to tell you to cut it out just a little bit, it's why you've grown so much as a person and it will keep you growing but it can also run you into the ground if you aren't careful... I was looking for answers at the bottom of liquor bottles when I was your age, and that wasn't being selfish it was pure self destruction, I also know women that are 10-20 years older than you who don't have the maturity and self belief that you seem to have and they are raising children and/or married... Keep being your harshest critic but take time to reflect on how much further you are than so many others, not to compare or brag (you always keep how good you are to yourself), as you should only compare yourself to who you were yesterday but to see that you don't have as far to go as you think...

I'm glad you enjoyed it, I realised that I was talking to myself as well as you when I wrote it and it's why I got lost and wrote so much, so many things became clearer when I was trying to think of how to tell you that it seems to me that you already are who you are describing who you are aiming to be... I found out that I haven't been looking at how far I've come from when my marriage ended 5 years ago and I attempted to take my own life, I didn't realise that I don't really know of anyone that thinks the way I do or has the knowledge of what it takes to have the mental stability I now have because of where I've been... It's nice to not compare or judge others but without measuring from a point of origin it's impossible to look at yourself the way others see you and that's always been a problem with me, people think I'm saying how bad they are at life when I say I have so far to go to get where I want to be and I saw that in you also, it's where the crabs in the bucket pull you down and try to make you feel sorry for them instead of helping you up and then following you up... I like to lead by example and if someone follows the path I'm on they'll get where they need to go, and just because I'm at a point in my life where that path looks easy, it never is, you can only go forward or backwards in life and once you get to a point where almost everyone is behind you, it's really hard not to look back and join them because that's actually the easy path that most people take... You made me realise that I can't keep this to myself and I should share myself with the world as you have so they don't have to fall to the depths of hell and claw their way out like I did, learning from someone else's experience is sometimes just as valuable as your own, your journey from where you were when you first started your channel is a great example... Thank you Demi for being you, when you see the guy at scents (I'm bad with names) can you thank him for me because it was his enthusiasm when he talked about how he was helping you by loaning you fragrances was the reason I searched for your channel the same day, the genuine guy that he is led me to believe that you would be too, and you don't get that much on KZbin or even life in general if I'm being honest...

It’s great your not jumping into relationship at at a young age I think. Looking back at it i should have done the same. At 20 you have so much growing to do and I think it’s best done outside of a relationship. Not relying on someone else and letting your insecurities of wanting to have company filling that hole. yay, my question about your (potentially future) perfume!! i would say an iconic perfume. to be perceived as chanel coco noir is or another chanel cult favourite. but with a twist. what does that mean? i think it's up to you. a twist that would make everyone think "yup, that's created by Demi Rawling, it's definetely her personality and style imprisoned in a bottle". it may be a borderline gourmand.. some tuberoase sparkling up.. maybe a spicy opening? your perfume should be your reflection. and as a first product from your line, i think it should be a mass appealing perfume. can't wait to get my hands on your perfume, haha! xx

Oh as far as perfume! My dream used to me a very creamy coconut gourmand... now I love resonious smooth fragrances like spirituese double vanille or tonka imperial, or back to black ...I would love a fragrance like spirituese double vanille but stronger and with also something else to make it more exciting, like if you could incorporate a floral in that and bring them together that would be beautiful... sort of like flower bomb, which I know is a bad example, because it's so overplayed… But like you with alien, I think flower bomb might be one of the most beautiful artistic talents great fragrances I've ever smelt… Because they did incorporate sweet and smooth with floral… Smooth balance is the coolest part of making a fragrance to bring everything together and do something that really balances out nicely… It's so hard to do but.. in my opinion that is far more important than having a very sharp chemical but sophisticated pungent fragrance, which I see you do actually enjoy often… In examples like Chanel or some others that to me are extremely harsh... but that's my dream LOL… Can't wait to see you come out with! I hope it's as amazing as I think it will be❤️❤️

Girl, stick to your dreams. I mentioned in another q&a that I have chosen to not have kids, and the desire to have them has never presented itself. I love them too, but I have no delusions of what responsibility they require. I love that you are open minded, but I think its awesome when people are honest about where they stand with the whole having children thing. I felt guilty for years, because I thought I was suppose to want them. The truth is that yes, often people have kids for selfish reasons, and I actually know many who, if given the chance to do over, would not have them. Now I know a lot of people who love the role of parenting and that is wonderful. Those are the ones who need to parent. Personally, I love being and aunt, and that is enough for me. I also love animals On the fragrance question, Why would you limit yourself to one creation. Create a fragrance DNA structure, and play with it. You seem to love sweet gourmand fragrances the most, but do one in each category that speaks to you. Two houses I wonder if you have explored, and that I would love to hear you talk about are Ormond Jayne and Xerjoff both are niche and are very different from each other.
