Giulia Colangelo chav is a very common word to use where I'm from. It describes people who behave in a certain way. You get chavs who are poor, chavs who are rich. There are lots of negative words. Arsehole, bitch... etc. In an ideal world none of these words would be used. But the world isn't full of only nice people.

Gabbie,my mom left my dad when I was six months old. He had/has an abundance of drug problems and is in and out of jail. I just recently turned 15 (about 4 days ago) and my mom is the best and strongest person I know. I also think you would be a fantastic mom because you love your cats and cats are basically calmer children (I think, which is kind of a funny thought). I just wanted to let you know that is possible to be/have a well rounded child and not have a partner. I love you and hope you have the best day!

for sure!!! if you're in a place where you can stably bring up a child, I don't see the issue. having two parents doesn't mean you'll have two good parents, from experience!

I was raised by a single mom. I love my mom but I do wish I had a dad. she would tell me things that she should have shared with an adult and not a child. It was stressful to have to fill the shoes of an adult at such a young age. I think that if you do want to have a child on your own you'll need a great support system of friends and family. my mom didn't have that and a dad or a support system would have been great! A single parent can definitely provide enough love, just make sure you can provide stability as well.

Michelle Bennett thank you for your imput. I totally understand were you are coming from. I have a very strong support system so but I will definatly keep this in mind. I am still considering my options about the donor. It can be anonymous or I have a friend that would like to be the donor. I don't know what you know about your father? And would you prefer to know who it is?

Tessaaaa1996 I do know who he is now but Ive never been able to meet him. We move to the other side of the planet when I was 15 when my mom married and had an other child. I did meet my half sister but we don't have a close relationship unfortunately. The first time I talked to my bio dad I was in collage. We were never really able to build a good relationship and I haven't talked to him in years. If I had a choice in who my baby's father was I would look for someone in my friends circle, friends or friends of friends, that would want to share the experience. Someone that lives close by and has similar way of thinking, like what age for a cell mobile phone or about pets.... Its great to know that if something happens to you your child still has someone to rasie them. Thankfully there are so many great ways of having a family now.

Love what you said about being proactive and having kids on your own! I know I want kids and get so sick of people being like "you need to find someone/get married first" - as if being with someone is dependant on whether you have kids or not. If I don't meet someone I plan on adopting! xx

I agree with your idea on marriage. I'm 28 and my partner is 31, we have just celebrated our 10 year anniversary (longer than the average UK marriage) and we are just as strong as any married couple. we have always put 110% into our relationship, he is part of my family and I am part of his, we share everything from financial aspects through to the heartbreak of loosing people. we have lived together since 4 weeks into our relationship and have never looked back. something I have found though, especially as we have just last weekend hit the 10 year mark, is that people don't see us as a valid couple as we are not married, I almost have to prove to people that we love each other as much if not more than married people. our mantra has always been 'why fix something that's not broken?' so many marriages around me have broken down and we're still going strong. x

Valerie Bleeckx it's a show where 6 single girls and guys go to a villa in Spain (I think) and they have to be in couples to stay in the show, but they swap and change and then whoever is single gets dumped from the island. New people get put it through out. It let for 7/8 weeks and the public vote for the couple to win. They win a lot of money. It's just so bitchy and drama and hilarious.
