Awww such a lovely surprise for my Sunday morning. Phin already has an international accent! As someone has already posted please beware people wanting pics of The Babies. I know they're noticed everywhere they go because they are the cutest but I'm confident you and Jas will be watching out for anyone acting weird around them. Phin and his sister are a real credit to you guys and your wonderful parenting. They are clearly being raised with the right values. The best advocate for home schooling that I've ever seen; his answers were well thought out. Go Phin!!

Awww thank you! Parenting these 2 is a joy. We were very much on guard about weird people, especially in South Africa it’s currently number 1 child trafficking country 🥺 I was shocked to find that out and so from the off we were very much aware of who was around us. You can usually get a feeling of people acting strange but we taught the kids and educated them on what to do if anyone ever approaches them or tries anything. This is why they were doing different fighting training disciplines. We even do drills with them to teach them how to get away and get help, they know that if anyone succeeds in taking them away their life could end or change forever. It was a heart breaking subject to tell kids this young but it was important to lift the veil and show them that not everyone is kind. On the other hand with people taking pictures ESPECIALLY Chinese tourists it’s honestly out of curiosity, we also asked people why they take pictures and most Chinese people said it was because in China everything is censored and what they see of the world is very much controlled by the government so they take pictures of EVERYTHING so they can share with friends & family what’s outside the Great Wall of China so to speak. But yeh South Africa and child trafficking was a big shock. The government is heavily trying to fight back, you cannot enter the country with a child without a bridged birth certificate, you can’t even get on a plane from the UK or the Middle East without this. If 1 parent or anyone is travelling with a child they have to get a letter from the solicitor with approval from the parents. If you land in South Africa without the letter and the bridges birth certificate you will not be able to enter the country. The world is a fascinating place full of the strange and wonderful.

My cousin and her husband travel religiously and since having their one year old daughter, they've been to four more of a dozen or so countries they have already visited. They have not been to South Africa yet, but I will definitely pass this information on to them.

We are super careful but honestly it was impossible to control, we seriously we have been back to England after a couple of weeks, lt wasn’t just pictures of the kids for the most part it was people wanting pictures of the whole family, like all the time. We spoke about it as a family and agreed not to make a massive deal about it otherwise our year away would have sucked on a major scale. But we were super protective of the kids, family didn’t want us to go and if anything happened to the kids especially we would have been crucified by family when we got back home. So we were on guard 💯
