Usually siblings don't call eachother "brother" or "sister" in real life so I like that they only refer to eachother by their names

Yes they do in real life. In Japan. Which is what makes it so funny that EN is adding "brother" to their dialogue in English, when nobody does that in real-life English lmao

@ライオン耳 I know it's something done in Japan (and some other Asian countries), but it's not so common here in the west. It would also be hilarious if Floyd called Jade "idiot" or "fucker" because I know some people do that with their siblings and Floyd would ABSOLUTELY try that on Jade

But they’re not speaking a western language that’s the point😭 they’re speaking Japanese so it’s actually unnatural that they’re not saying “brother” and funny that the English game is having them say “brother” 😂 and yeah I agree the English game should’ve gone with more realistic nicknames haha

@@ライオン耳 Yes, I know it's funny they changed how Floyd And Jade call eachother lol. I think we misunderstood eachother a little bit.

I find it fun to see that they do call each other by names rather than simply just seeing “bro” or “brother.” It really makes them feel more real! (In a way- if you know what I mean-) I for one generally call my younger sisters by their names so there’s that too- .w. (I mean- I mostly call them Lil’ Goobers as well- affectionately- not to be mean- but yeah- .w.)

From what I have seen, Japanese terms for an older sibling can be used to refer to someone who takes on the role of one, like a mentor or upperclassman. Sometimes a friendly stranger will be referred to as an older sibling, typically by or in reference to a child.
