The felix pullover is a great begginner friendly pattern. Otherwise, ashley lilis has some free sweater patterns with step by step videos.

I knit the structured loop sweater, although not with recommended yarn. Access/expense thing. I love it.

Hi Marlene, love your podcast! I just discoverd you,perfect to binge your episodes this holiday 🎄 The Lento sweater is a really great pattern, it has a loose gauge, knit on 6 mm needles. So it makes it a fast and comfort knitting project. Happy holidays, XMiriam

thanks for saying that! I think I'll have to make one in the future, it sounds so great! happy new year! x

I'm loving your podcasts. I hope you had a lovely Christmas. Man are you organised for your upcoming projects I need to get my act together. My about to begin project is a Sheepjes crotchet jumper done in a whirl and whirlette, each held together with lace mohair.I will have a hat on my knitting needles for knitting outside the house.

I absolutely love your knitting podcasts! I just started knitting myself (for now socks, but I’d love to start knitting sweaters as well) and I love to see other peoples experiences on knitting patterns etc. I wish you a merry Christmas and I can’t wait for your next podcast 😊.

thanks for watching and commenting, Alicia and in my opinion: if you can knit socks, you can knit sweaters! happy holidays to you too 😊

I am really enjoying your podcasts 😍 We have very similar tastes in patterns and I can’t wait to see your “future” knits. For Dk weight socks you could just double your fingering weight sock yarn, Crazy Sock Lady mentioned this in her free pattern for dk socks. Oh the decisions for your Festive sweater by PK, loving both colours! Maybe you could alternate both😊 Happy Holidays 💓

Oh thank you! that’s actually a great idea - I wore my dk socks today and had the toastiest feet all day 😍 and to you as well 🎄

Great podcast, thank you. For a crew neck raglan Sweater, an alternative could be the Lento sweater, or the Knit Purl Girl's Semper jersey. I've just car on the Lento and intend to do both of them.

Loved the beige woolyknits cone!!! Did you order it directly via there website?
@marleneknits2 жыл бұрын
Yes I did.. shipping & customs were quite high, but the sweater I can knit from it will still be very budget friendly / reasonably priced I think! 😊
@TwoBirchHomestead2 жыл бұрын
What brand is that thicker mohair? I have never seen that before. And it is a stunning sage green! You could always make a cropped slipover (top down so you can use up all the yarn) to wear over dresses/ skirts/ with high-waisted jeans.

Hi Marlene- really enjoying watching from snowy Canada! I wanted recommend you look at the many (free) patterns from Espace Tricot which is located in Montreal. There are many classics that I think would fit with your style- there is a recent cardigan that you might like (Livresque Cardigan) as well as a simple color work yoke pattern that only uses one colour so might be a good start (Night Blooms). The wonderful ladies who own the shop also have a podcast on KZbin which I enjoy watching.

just discovered you and enjoying your podcast. I'm curiouse about the way you knit. I think it's continental but you help the yarn with your other hand. I'm still trying to perfect and conquer going from English to Continental!
@marleneknits2 жыл бұрын
hey Carolyn, I first learned to knit english style and then continental and I prefer that somehow (less movement is required than when I have to throw the yarn) and yes I think I‘m helping slightly with one finger to be quicker, but I really haven’t thought about it that deeply before now 😄 thank you for watching and commenting and happy knitting 🫶🏻
@carolyn_r2 жыл бұрын
@@marleneknits It fascinates me to see how people hold their needles and yarn and work those stitches. I'm trying to transition to continental, too!

Roxanne Richardson also has amazing teaching videos. You may like some of Sari Norlund's patterns I recently knit the Odette sweater, the pattern was well written and easy to follow. It has a nice crew neck.

Wenn du einen Pullover mit zopfmuster stricken möchtest und lieber einen raglan stricken möchtest dann guck dir doch mal den arctic sweater von kutovakika. Du findest ihr design auf ravelry.
@marleneknits2 жыл бұрын
