Thank you for being a man of integrity. I just listened to a long interview with Matthew Taylor on his book," The Violent Take it by Force." This is so important and accurate as to the great deception and Biblical ignorance of so many who claim faith in Jesus. I'm tracking 100% with you and Matthew Taylor. God be with you. Please keep putting out this vital content. Looking forward to your further discussions on the insanity posing as Christianity among many Evangelicals. I can no longer use that term to define my faith. Thanks.

Thanks Pat, for your clear reasoning, your embrace of humble communication and your allegiance to Jesus. As far as the narrow topics of MAGA, abuse of power and tyranny, I find no disagreement between us. But I’m sure that at some point our minds will differ and at that point I will be empowered by your grace to share my perspective with you. Thanks for the support I have received from you as I have slogged through the MAGA mire and tried to hang on to my sanity. Thank you for doing what you do. 🤙

I totally agree and I was discussing a similar topic with my sister-in-love today about believers on their jobs that tell folks they’re church titles or preach at work instead of doing the actual work that they’re paid to do all in “in the name of Jesus” when we can let our light shine just by being a believer who honors God by living the word. I really enjoy your videos, keep up the good work

@lightwinsoverdarknessАй бұрын
@@jackbraaten726 have you encountered a monk? The monks I have encountered were wearing a habit--not all monks are brothers some are "Fathers" because they are ordained priests according to the Eastern Orthodox or Roman Catholic tradition. Monks also typically take on the name of a patron saint as well when they are ordained.

My Pastor preaches God's word but voted for Trump. That makes my head spin. I've never voted for him. I saw him as a very dangerous man the first time I heard him speak. I guess I'm still trying to figure out what happened to the church. I'm 81 so I thank God I have a pastor who still preaches the word because I'm too old now to change churches now. I almost did before the senior pastor retired.

Dear Brother Kahnke. Thanks so much for your integrity and heart. During the past > 9 difficult years, it's been hard to verbalize the political takeover of the evangelical church. Your channel and comments by others are helping process and form my motivation. I am challenged by verses like Romans 15: 2.Each one of us is to please his neighbor for his good, to build him up. 3.For even Christ did not please himself. On the contrary, as it is written, The insults of those who insult you have fallen on me... I'm selective on who of the 81% I try to build up. And even when I prepare my heart for the benefit of a brother, I am surprised by some of the direct comments that I blurt out. Aackkk. Although I'm not a pastor, I feel a responsibility to represent the kingdom life of the Sermon on the Mount, Matt 5ff. Thanks for leading this s forum. It is helping. Romans 15:13Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you believe so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit

Accountability is important. When I moved to the Bible belt I was shocked that a high school dropout who is barely literate with no biblical training and a profound lack of knowledge could be ordained in the SBC or other denominations simply because they were entrepreneurs who could communicate well and ordination rests with the autonomous congregation performing it. I think this is why being an ordained minister has so little value in American culture these days.

Good information. I would take it a step farther however. I want to know which church body is ordaining the pastor. If it's evangelical church I wouldn't have anything to do with it. The evangelical is responsible for what has happened to us. I really think we have to move to a new church model we need to form churches of believers who didn't vote Trump that way we know we are fellowshipping with true believers not the Apostates, Heretics, and Idol Worshippers. Who voted Trump. I want to know the pastor isn't one of them and neither is the overseeing body. It's going to of necessity that we know the church wasn't one of them. 82% of them we don't want to form a union with. Id rather it be small but pure rather then large and defiled.

I have to say the point you make about online preachers/pastors makes really good sense… Unfortunately, people who are not well educated enough to understand the amount of harm these individuals can cause to those kinds of untrue messages in Regards to the Bible and the Lord. Too many of them, spin it for their own narrative, and do not abide by the very principal of treating people no matter what their beliefs what their lifestyle with human decency. In the end, we will all be judged.

I'm afraid that too many Evangelical pastors are concerned with being profits. Their behavior makes me think they're worshiping something other than God.
@stephencullum8255Ай бұрын
Your comments about saying your opinion does not equal so says the Lord needs to be said. Repeatedly. Not a pastor just a senior man who is a lay person who has followed Jesus for decades. Been reading and studying scripture for decades. A lot of opinion has been pushed as the word of God. Scriptures took out of context to justify things that are not God inspired and not Godly. As older believers we need to push back against that and protect younger less experience believers from that.

@@culturefaithandpoliticsBUT.... don't you think we (the true Evangelicals, not the MAGA Evangelicals) need you to represent what a true Evangelical should look and act like? There are the ‘MAGA evangelicals’ who are genuine believers in Jesus Christ and those who are not. For true believers in Jesus there is a bond of love and faith that is stronger than any political affiliation.

@@MikeB-sk5ksvery true. Honestly, I would not accuse someone of not being a Christian if they are MAGA. I hope I didn't come across that way. I have some people I love that are MAGA'S and are Christians. I was very hurt by a family member that was nasty and told me I am not a Christian and I can't possibly have Christ in my heart if I could vote for a murderer. I was stunned and deeply hurt. I did not and would not ever say that to her. I told her Kamala was not a murderer. She believes in free choice and so did Jesus. He never forced anyone to follow His teachings. I told her I loved her with all my heart but I had to leave and end the conversation. I guess my whole point is that many of the MAGA'S have given "evangelicals" a bad name and many, just like Pat Kahnke and my husband don't want to associate with that title. I, on the other, don't want to abandon the title. I don't want to throw out the entire bushel of apples because of a few bad ones.
