Bishop Solo (sorry, I had to) has such a nice vibe. I get the feeling he really loves God and the people he helps.

This episode was great, thank you!! Sounds like this bishop is wonderful, very open, empathetic and kind to members of his ward. There is something which was said this last conference - tells us that sadly while they might try to the best they can - not all church leaders are like the bishop you just interviewed (voice of experience here). "It grieves me to think that any of you have felt marginalized or have not been believed by a Priesthood leader... I eel deep sorrow that any of you have felt sidelined, disrespected, or misjudged. Such offenses have no place in the kingdom of God." (President Russell M. Nelson, Spiritual Treasures, October 2019 General Conference)

When I was a member of the church, our bishop was very helpful and kind.

I was fortunate enough to have the bishop that I did during the time that I struggled with repentance and faith crisis. Bishops are such a blessing, and it's so great that they are men that are in your ward. It makes it easier to talk to, but at the same time, I can see how that would make it harder. Bishops are incredible, and I'm so glad that you guys made this video.

Bishop Gregg Peterson of the North stake of Zion @ North Las Vegas was a great help and Instrumental for me a long time ago. The only setback was he was so darn young! One of the top five bishops in my opinion that had been helpful to me.

This was amazing to hear! Honestly my bishop is awful... he literally avoids my family. He lives down the street and will turn around and walk the other way if he sees us outside just because my dad (who is a disabled veteran with ptsd) can’t handle church every week and leaves early sometimes

That's very unfortunate to hear; I'm so sorry for you and your family. I've had a mix of good and bad bishops, and even ones that are completely non-engaged from myself or their role entirely. The good news is that bishops aren't bishops forever, and the Lord will compensate your family the this one's term passes.

Anthony Nunez You should also check out the other comments and read the ones between him and me on his original comment. I hope you do research though, and not just take his word at face value.

John McGuire Can you please provide sources? I see that you did expand upon your original argument we had over here. So if you could now just provide support for that argument with sources that would be way more helpful for people to listen to your message. That’s why I often include sources, but then they can continue to research and really understand your position.

@@johnpfmcguire You are really barking up the wrong trees in all you have said in these statements, so let me correct you with a very basic gospel doctrine. Here it is in the Bible about the burning sensation in the bossom that comes from the witness of the Holy Ghost. Receiving personal revelation from heaven through the Holy Ghost is Biblical Doctrine. 'Did not our hearts burn within us, when he opened to us the scriptures"" (Luke 24:30-32).

I loved this I honestly was worried to talk to Bishop when I got my ecclesiastical endorsement for school (I come from a broken home and my relationship with my family isn't the best and he asked about. My family and I told him some of what's going on and I realy haven't talked much scince that just becouse I understand why family is so important but it's something that feels odd to talk about and thought he'd look at me in a diffrent light thank you so much for clarification

I feel the need to clarify something about “calling legal” or “calling authorities” about admitted crimes vs accused crimes. One is clear that a crime was committed by the other is an accused crime that may have been committed. Am I missing something and what would a bishop be legally required to do in the case of an accused person?

As a bishop, I would rather conduct a funeral service than a marriage. I would be saddened by the decisions in someone's life that would lead to a civil rather than a temple marriage.

This Bishop seems like a good man; but if a sinner( whom did something to a child) or raped a Woman Unlike a Mormon Bishop a Catholic Priest can NEVER tell on a person. The Priest may try to catch the sinner out of the Confessional& talk him into turning himself in; but it is wrong for a Mormon Bishop to do it. The Catholic Priest/Bishop has a much harder job#####

John McGuire I have a relationship with Jesus Christ, and know that God loves us all so much that he sent his only begotten Son to die on the cross. And I know that because of that sacrifice, you and I can be freed from our sin and be saved.

John McGuire what I’m saying is both Latter Day Saints AND YOU are acting like upset children. You disagree with LDS Theology, that’s cool. Why come here just to call people dumb? Your colors are showing; you need Jesus Christ.
@amandasimon19974 жыл бұрын
John McGuire Yes, he will pray more, as will I, that we will still show you the pure love of Jesus Christ, charity. No matter your lack of good will towards us, just as Christ did during His ministry. I’m obviously not perfect and am working on that, but only one of us needs to extend charity when there’s conflict, so I will continue to strengthen that compassionate side of myself.
