Hello Joe As someone who is looking to start (due to your videos by the way) kickboxing/muay thai what are some of the ways to see if a gym is good or not? Cheers from Denmark!

Joe would if he beneficial for a MMA fighter to also compete amateur boxing to develop true striking skills? Or stick to just MMA fights but with strong striking training?

Was that the highlight with the song affirmative action by nas on it? I’ve watched that a lot. Plus I love kaman and Valtellini! I would of definitely thought he’d be a more kaman fan though 🤷♂️

Periodizing training? I've been considering taking time off from medium-high intensity martial arts training and focusing on building my strength base, is it worth taking the time off and getting my novice strength gains out of the way?

Thank you for answering my last question in-depth. Matt Thornton said good fighters have 4 qualities: Aggression, Conditioning, Skill and Intelligence. 75% of a good fighter is the first 2 qualities. Do you agree?, and to what extent can you learn and develop aggression?

Joe said "Boxing is a big part of the game". I totally agree! For example Iron Mike Zampidis, although he was a short guy , he became kick boxing champion using great boxing skills!

Highlander Martial Arts I would recommend checking out Joe's fight against Raymond Daniels, and take note on some of the things that Joe does in the fight, such as keeping his chin tucked and hands up high, cutting off the ring and cornering him, working Daniels' body to slow him down, and also chopping away his legs. Hope this helps:)
