Thank you Dotor Ellie! I've just begun your rinse protocol and cancelled my dental cleaning appointment. Want to give it a good 6 months before going back to my dentist. I feel like you've given me hope and my prayers have been answered. I don't want to lose anymore teeth and hope to reverse my periodontal disease. Thank you for your honesty and your simple approach. I hope to report back some exciting news to you regarding improvement in my deep pockets.

I’m excited for you. It’s the synergy between the daily use of xylitol after meals, allowing time for xylitol to feed beneficial bacteria in your mouth, & the benefits offered by these rinses that will produce the best results! Please let me know how thing progresses. 😁

It's great to know my Complete Mouth Care System has been helpful to you. Be sure to use good toothbrushing techniques and good brushes to massage your gums. The xylitol will also help promote the benefits of this system. You should be able to heal your periodontal pocketing in 6-9 months and be able to maintain oral health moving forward. Please let me know if you need more help. I really want you to explore my website to ensure you are using the exact products and techniques - DrEllie.com

Ensure you have good toothbrushes and that you are giving your gums a good massage with these. The only way to regrow gum tissue is to stimulate new blood vessel growth - and for this we need to stimulate circulation in the gums around areas affected by pocketing. I recommend allowing brushes 24 hours to dry between uses.Also, remember the xylitol component of this system - it is more important than you may think - because it stabilizes the mouth's oral microbiome by "feeding" good bacteria.

I have had very disappointing experiences lately with two different dentists. I had a leaky temporary cap while waiting on a crown for 2 weeks. In spite of the terrible pain, the dentist refused to see me and instead pushed ibuprofen. When he remived the cap, the smell was horrendous, not surprisingly, the nerve became damaged from this leak and I ended having to have a root canal. I now see another dentist who has amazing on line reviews, but, but he is always in a rush and sort of frantic. I later realized why, he sees multiple patients at the same time, leaving no room for even basic communication. I am totally bummed.

I have not met a good dentists yet, some are not good but at least they didn’t scam but most are trying everything to scam their patients… they seem to intentionally cause patients to have more problems than the other way around🤦♀️

I've had trouble with my teeth since stepping into a dentist office. I was so fed up, I hated the thought of it. The one I've had the misfortune of going to I believe have destroyed Mt teeth. $$$$$$$ that's what counted.

@debbiedobrzenski7005 I am in the same situation. Going back to the endodontist tomorrow,he did the root canal caused by the previous dentist. This was in April but now hurting again. I paid 1,500.00 to get the latest technology called Gentle Wave, it should have been a one-time visit. Not the case. I just hope there is no additional charge.

Great smiles are nice, but a healthy mouth is of paramount importance. The most outrageous issue regarding this health discipline is the fact that insurance is about every other part of the body, but NOT the mouth. Btw, dentists are doctors too and also have great life-saving, health promoting potential.

I live in Sydney at the moment. For some years I could not drink coffee and recently I discovered Ethiopian fair trade coffee which tastes as nice and I could sleep at night. However after about one month I started getting pain in a remain of a tooth under an old dental bridge. I tried to take Savacol as.it helped me in the past. Still painful. I was water flossing before this. I went to the dentist. She sent me to specialist. I did not call yet. I realised I started feeling pain down the left side at my temple and I related that to having coffee. So I stopped having pure mug of coffee. Instead I added a teaspoon to my usual mug of cacao with honey. Now the pain is gone. It took less than two days. Which means coffee afects us in different ways.

Dr Eli you are a Godsend! I am following your system and my teeth feel clean!! No plaque build up and no morning breath. I have so much distrust for dentists now. After a deep cleaning I was told I needed another clean in a month and another in 4 months. Since then, I’ve noticed at least 3 teeth with recessed gums. This was the same dentist that almost got me to have a root canal with just a temp for a crown. I wasn’t even sure I really needed that crown in the first place. Anyways, is it possible that the frequent cleaning caused the gum recession? I have another appointment in a month and I’m not sure if I can trust her or anyone who is not after the money.
@SunrayStar14 күн бұрын
Switch dentists! Yes, it is totally possible that frequent cleaning caused the gum recession, and those "deep" cleanings would be even more damaging. Since it's been longer than a month since you left that comment, you may have already gone to that last appointment? Dr. Ellie recommends starting the system and then waiting at least 6 months before going to another dental visit to see how much improvement you can get in that time. This enables many to never have to have work they were told they needed.

Dr Ellie, I have tried your protocol for about 6 weeks now. I have always had great dental health and dental care. I have noticed in some recent photos that my teeth are darker looking than before I used your protocol. I have avoided fluoride toothpastes for over 30 years and always thought that Listerene was extremely harsh. I have followed your protocol to a tee……but don’t know why my teeth look darker. I assume that it is the regular use of the Listerene….or maybe the ACT? Please provide some guidance for me. Thank you! (Btw…I am 70yrs old)

I wonder what kind of products you were using before? Also why you decided to use my protocol 6 weeks ago? Have you been experiencing dental problems? If so did you have either sensitivity, erosion, or other? I ask this because any acidic or a peroxide based cleaning routine would indeed artificially whiten your teeth but damage them in the process. The system I recommend will strengthen enamel - at any age - and the color of our teeth is basically determined by the strength of our outer tooth enamel. The myth proposed by many people and especially marketing of whitening products is that teeth are "white". Enamel is actually translucent - and reflects light to look white (like a diamond). This is why the color of teeth will vary depending on the lighting and also the strength of the enamel. Strong teeth are the goal!

@@dr.elliephillips Hi Dr Phillips and thanks for your quick response. As I had mentioned….I’ve had excellent oral hygiene all my adult life. I also have many amalgam fillings from my decadent childhood (too much candy). All is well and I always get clean bill of health from my checkups. I some how came across your videos and became intrigued by your suggested protocol. I have 2 baby teeth (still have strong roots!🤗) but I have re espionage around the gum line on these teeth. Guess I’m trying to make them stronger and maybe keep the recession at bay for a while. I use a Butler pick and floss and have brushed with Dr Bromers peppermint toothpaste (no fluoride) for many years. I occasionally rinse with diluted hydro peroxide and have some cosmetic bonding on a few front teeth . Thank you for your observation/comments. Hope to hear back from you🙏
@dr.elliephillips2 жыл бұрын
@@daveparsons7756 The products I recommend - when used in the exact sequence I recommend - work in synergy to build strength in enamel and balance the oral microbiome. Any changes you see as teeth become stronger would improve the look/color of them. It's possible you are improving the oral microbiome but plaque bacteria are not being adequately removed from the surface of your teeth. You may want to visit my website DrEllie.com and check out my tooth brushing video ( it can be viewed for free - and is accessed by following the links to my video bootcamp. It can be previewed for free). Using a dense and resilient toothbrush is key to keeping gums healthy and especially to preserve those remaining baby teeth. finally

My dentist recently filled in some erosion on several teeth at the gum line. He gave the fillings a 2 year guarantee. He didn't call them cavities, that is, there was no black decay, but erosion at the gum line. He said it's to do with aging (I'm 71) and wearing away as we eat. I wish I'd known about remineralization, oil pulling, xylitol, etc at that time, then maybe I could have avoided this expensive procedure. Once they fall out can I conceivably remineralize those areas, or are they too deep beyond the enamel? He considered it cosmetic dentistry.
@SunrayStar14 күн бұрын
After a dentist has put a filling in a tooth, then that area is "finished". Some of the enamel has been removed and the surrounding part has been mechanically damaged by the filling process, so that area will never be able to self-repair. However, going ahead and using the Complete Mouth Care System from now on will strengthen all of the remaining tooth area to avoid future dental work as well as helping the fillings he put in to last way longer, if not forever.

Thank you both--very informative interview. Can cosmetic dentistry actually improve the health of your mouth, providing you are still using the complete mouth system? Also, are you ever too old to tolerate what is required in going through extensive cosmetic restorations?
@SunrayStar14 күн бұрын
Cosmetic dentistry would usually damage tooth enamel, so it would not improve the health of the mouth, as enamel mechanically damaged by the dentist can never self-repair, even if you are using the CMCS. It's best to avoid the cosmetic dentistry and just use the CMCS, which will give the most improvement in mouth health.

Dr Ellie, I have both upper and lower porcelain veneers. I am doing your system 2 times a day. Is the Listerine safe for my veneers? I was told not to use any products with alcohol in it. I would love to keep doing it but don’t want to harm my veneers.

I do not have teeth in the back of my mouth so I have to chew with my front teeth, I have a crown in the front that I have been to the dentist to keep cementing in my mouth, can I do anything to keep from costly dental appointments? I can't afford to keep having it cemented 2-3 times a year
@SunrayStar14 күн бұрын
In most cases when a crown keeps on coming loose and needing to be recemented, it is due to the dentist performing an ill-fitting crown.

Hi Dr Ellie, I have been using your mouth care system for last couple of months. Last week I had my dentist appointment and she said that I am having small cavities in my molars due to teeth grinding. she is going to fill the cavities in about four weeks from now. My question is should I reschedule my appointment? Thanks

Unless you have something serious that requires an emergency procedure, Dr. Ellie usually recommends that people start on the program and give it 6 months before having another dental appointment, to see how far you can get with improvements before resorting to dental work.
