Just started 3 weeks ago and had receding bleeding gums and painful and loose teeth. in 2023 they said they would deep clean ($2000) and then see what happens - I didn’t do that. Then I stumbled upon Dr Ellie’s video last month and tried her regimen and within the first week the sensitivity to hot and cold stopped and then the bleeding went away. I personally recommend Dr Ellie’s videos and website. Most dentists would only want to do filling and X-rays but not have a plan to help you keep your mouth and teeth healthy. But Dr Ellie is a great dentist and a blessing to us all. Please keep up your amazing service to humanity. Eternally Thankful 🙏

Started her complete system in dec 2023. Sitting at the table talking to my wife two days ago she said your teeth are getting whiter. At 70 thats a great compliment. This system works. I never brushed my teeth two times a day and never used any of these products. So it makes total sense this is happening.

For those who are hesitating to try Dr. Ellie's system I am here to report that her protocol works; I started it on Oct. 20, 2023 so half a year ago and I just had my dental appointment last week ( btw I go for check-ups once a year) and I have NO CAVITIES , my receeding gums are healing and don't bleed any longer, not to mention that my teeth are getting brighter and brighter every single day. At 58 that's something to be proud about. For newbies here, give yourself at least 3 months and If I can improve my oral health which impacts overall health anybody can so good luck 🙂 Dr. Ellie I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for educating us on this subject. 🌹🌹🌹🌹❤❤❤❤ Forgot to mention that during this check-up I decided not to go for scaling and so called cleaning of my teeth because as the dentist told me they look fine.

I started Dr. Phillips' night routine in December 2023. Four months later my teeth not only feel better, I have less discomfort from de-mineralization because I am building my teeth back up. Bonus: I keep getting compliments on how nice my teeth look. I am in my 60's and I want to keep my teeth until I'm 100 and I know that I'm on the right path. Keeping my am/pm toothbrushes separate to decrease the bacterial count down, too. Thank you for caring and sharing your sound advice, Dr. Phillips.

It was flossing that started me thinking after 30 years why aren’t my pockets ever getting better? I thought, isn’t flossing pushing debris deeper into my gums? I learned about Dr. Ellie’s system in July 2023 and it made so much sense I put it right into practice. In two more months it will be a year and I am going to a new dentist to get my teeth and gums examined (not cleaned!!!!). My teeth feel so smooth now and I have had no gum bleeding at all. I can’t wait to see what they say! It’s not about the money…. It’s about my health!

I’ve been doing her system for almost a year due to gum recession & my gums are growing back up the teeth!! I’m so excited. They seem to grow back from the back of the teeth, then up the sides in between the teeth, and lastly up the front. One of my problem places has almost completely healed (she says to consider receding gums like a wound which is why I say heal).

@@christinechan3902 it definitely was a slow process and took more than 6 months of diligence to see a difference. I’ll have my next teeth cleaning coming up and that will mark a year so I’ll be interested to see that the dental hygienist says. At my last one they didn’t say anything about my gums but did say that all of the vertical lines in my teeth from clenching my jaw were gone. It wont happen without some big changes, the entire healthcare industry in the US is designed for profit. Why tell you how to take care of your teeth properly when they make money every time you come in? The internet and social media allow people like Dr Phillips to break through to the masses. If enough people get educated then something can change. This spans across most topics, not just oral care. She reminds me of Martin Riese who educates people on drinking water and how purified water is a waste of money. I truly wonder what other ares of life have a Martin or Ellie with life changing information.

I started almost 2 weeks ago - I'm doing everything exactly as recommended. I had major bleeding when brushing, even when brushing lightly. I've always loved anything acidic or citric, and I didn't realize how much I was damaging my teeth and gums. My mouth feels amazing now, teeth are less sensitive, breath is better all day, gums have stopped bleeding so much, and teeth are already looking whiter and brighter. I'm blown away tbh. Even my gums are already looking way healthier, being repaired. I'm so glad I found this chanel, my teeth and gums were in bad shape and I was very worried because I'm only 41 ☺️ thank you Dr. Ellie 🙏🙏

I eliminated sugars for ~3 years (did a carnivore diet) - the plague was caked on, came back as fast as I removed it. So in my experience, eliminating sugar didn't really help much at all. Been doing the mouth care system (usually only once per day, before bed, i admit + plenty xylitol) for ~12mo now and the results have been nothing short of miraculous. No more plague at all. Gums looking healthy (horrible mess before). No more gay flossing, if there's something between my teeth I remove it (without having to bother my gums) with one of those plastic piks which looks like a small pipe cleaner. I prayed for help to fix my teeth, found this dentist's vids shortly after - could see results almost immediately. TY Dr Ellie, forever grateful!

I went carnivore and the backs of my bottom incisors were awful, much worse than usual. The hygienist wasn't happy, though she did say that the pockets around my top teeth were much improved. I began using your system several months ago after seeing your videos. When I try something I go all in, exactly, so I can never second-guess myself by saying I followed it 90% of the way. Nope, all in. So I did that but left out a key element, the xylitol. I had some mints that have xylitol but what if it wasn't enough? So I ordered two flavors of Zellies from Amazon and have begun using them several times thoughout the day. That did the trick! My teeth have become uniform in color and I have far less dark stuff come out when I spit out the Listerine. That's a real eye-opener when you use the Listerine!! What comes out!! I'm scheduled for my next dental cleaning on August 1st and cannot wait to hear what my hygienist has to say. I'll absolutely report back!! Thank you Dr Phillips - you are a God-send!!

As an oral cancer survivor I kindly ask that you please advise people to still see their dentist at least annually for oral exams even if not getting a cleaning. It is important to check oral health, especially as a screening for oral cancer even before symptoms are detected. I was a non-smoker, no HPV detected, yet a very small peduncular lesion was seen on my lateral tongue and found to be stage 1 squamous cell carcinoma, surgically cured by a partial glossectomy and a modified radical neck dissection to remove lymph nodes. 21 negative lymph nodes was the best -0- on a test I ever received and now I just endure annual surveillance checks with my ENT going on 20 years…we will grow old together!

Stopping flossing and adding xylitol is not going to magic away pain at all. And if someone gets some metal framing done in their mouth which relies on adding pressure points inside your mouth that you've never had before, its sort of obvious that those parts of the mouth are going to get sore and stay sore until they get used to the new pressure/circumstances. Go ride a bike/horse the next few days for several hours and see how many days it takes before you stop feeling aches and pains... Not washing your feet is not going to reduce the pain, for most sane people.

I feel so thankful that I found your channel and all of your insanely mind blowing information that I can pass along to my daughter. Unfortunately, I had not been doing the correct things (your methods) for my entire life. I thought i had great oral hygiene, but my gums continue to recede and I haven't been to the dentist in 5 years. Additionally, I take a low dose of stimulants to treat my executive functioning issues. I've tried going without, and Im just not able to function in this fast-paced world of individualistic living.. I simply can't keep up. So the medication is a must, for now. Im aware of the effects stimulants have on oral health (raising the ph of saliva, dry mouth, etc) and I do practice correct tongue posture and NEVER mouth breath. I'm anxious to know if I can continue to take my medication without if affecting my teeth/gums in detrimental ways. What would you recommend I do additionally to counter the effects of stims or is your method enough to counter those effects? Thank you so much for spreading this knowledge. People like you are why i'm grateful the internet exists!

My wife and I have been using your system for a little over 2 months now. Our teeth are definitely feeling smoother. My wife's teeth are white (she used to use whitening gels from the dentist) so no change. My teeth have always been yellow, especially over the last ten years or so. I'm hoping that the system will get them whiter. My back teeth have always been far whiter so I'm hoping over time that my front teeth will become more uniformly white or white-ish. We are using Xylitol after every drink of liquid, meal, or workout (mouth feeling dry). Neither of us had gum disease before starting your system. I do feel like my teeth are a little more sensitive (since using the system) and my gums feel a little raw sometimes. I have always flossed daily and since stopping I only floss a little if there is something caught in between my teeth. But now my gums bleed easily. Interested in how this will evolve. My wife is about to have her 6 month dental checkup/cleaning and we are eager to see what the dentist will find. My check-up will be 3 months from now. Sticking to the system! So, my question is, if the hygienist sees plaque should they remove it? Also, should we allow the hygienist to polish our teeth? Or should we skip that? Does that process remove building enamel? Thanks in advance!

Hi. I had severe tooth decay, and my gums were unhealthy. Went to the dentist to fix my issues and 2 tooth extractions, 4 crowns and an ongoing implant later, I found out that the healing wasn't as easy as I anticipated. The dentist wanted me to use listerine mouth wash, but not too excessively because it could impead healing. When I complained about pain in the gums socket, I was given a prescription mouth wash with an applicator to flush out debris and help disinfect. But again, the warning was that over use could actually stop the healing process. You may have to cut back on the listerine a bit. Don't brush your gums so hard or long. And see your dentist about your gums. They might be able to recommend something. By the way, I started using Dr Ellie Philips routine after the dentist finished most of the dental work, and my gums are more healthy. The hardest part is not drinking between meals.

I was also flossing, right when you recommend it, if we decide to do it. I needed to floss, but after a few days I realized there's no need! I hope I re-mineralize and whiten my teeth and heal my receding gums. I'm being very diligent and doing everything you suggested. Thank you Dr. Ellies

Hi Dr. Phillips, have you heard of the Matador Flatpak toiletry bag? It's made of a breathable material that allows water inside to evaporate through it. I use their bar soap bag and the soap is always dry the next day! I thought it would be cool if you tried it out, maybe it'd be something you could recommend to travellers to improve the conditions of their toothbrushes while on the road.

I am following Dr Ellie's advice and I truly think my teeth are looking good. OK not perfect after years of smoking, drinking, eating far too much sugar but good enough even with old fillings caused by the aforementioned sins. I do use a soft toothbrush but never floss simply because I cannot be bothered with it. Too fiddly and wasteful. I eat the Xylitol, swill the mouthwash and try to stay away from dentists. Its good enough for me.

@dr.elliephillips First, thank you for your helpful educational videos! I am so glad to have found your channel! I've watched quite a few of your videos and have learned a lot. However, I have some questions that hopefully you can answer them here or make a video to clarify some of these things. 1. You advise not to drink or anything for an hour after eating. Is it ok to drink some water during meals? 2. Flossing: In some videos, you don't recommend flossing. I was shocked to hear this but it makes sense after you explain why. I have some gaps in between some of my teeth that causes food to easily get stuck so I have to floss or use a waterpik because brushing alone won't remove it. Is it ok to floss just the areas that has stuck food? Would you do a video to explain your teeth care routine? It would be helpful to have videos illustrating how to brush properly. Like most people, I am visual and watching an illustration is more helpful than just listening to someone give the instructions. Also do you have a video on dental cysts? A shadow was found on my husband's x-rays and doctors are concerned. If you have a natural protocol, I would love to know what it is. Thank you so much!!

Along with the affirmative approach of using a few products that work together, I so appreciate that none of Dr Phillips lessons are judgmental or what didn't happen. It is refreshing to just start where the patient is & keep moving. The 'Bad Dog' stigma some dental staff deliver is a debilitating choke chain of shame--so counter productive. This protocol w/ my teeth has sparked my own sense of connection in general. TY.

I believe dentists do that to push the responsibility back onto you because they do not know how to heal you. Maybe on a subconscious level they know that and that they are just using you as a tool to make money. Blaming you is a way of making them feel better about themselves.

I have watched all your videos (several times), bought your book, and read through it carefully. I have also pre-ordered your forthcoming book. I purchased the exact products you recommend (including the toothbrushes) and followed the routine precisely. After three months I noticed that my teeth were in a terrible condition. Since I did not miss or alter any step in your system or substituted any of the products, I honestly don't know what went wrong. I am still continuing your dental system, but I have had to include my Waterpik and traditional flossing as I did in the past. After a month, my teeth look much better. I will be seeing my dentist and hygienist next week and I'm feeling a little apprehensive as they may see a decline in the condition of my teeth. Is it possible that some of us require additional steps in your system to keep our oral/dental health at an optimum condition?

Honestly , I would not purposely swallow xylitol . Chew the gum to get the xylitol “juices“ onto the teeth for the benefit but then try to spit out the accumulation of saliva that’s mixed with xylitol after a few minutes . Xylitol is harmful to the liver , kidneys and health over time . Look it up. Good for teeth but not something I would eat or cook with .

How to do you recommend consuming xylitol/eurythritol? I have been using gum (only 100% xylitol), but I also enjoy coffee. Could I use eurythritol/xylitol as a sweetner and have a similar effect? I know you once said mixing into food items can alter the effectiveness of its usage, but surely it would still be better than using refined sugar as it would not feed the bacteria as much?

It takes 6 months of the regular use of xylitol to eliminate plaque from your teeth and from your saliva. Prior to that - and especially in previously heavily plaque-infected mouths - this plaque may be stuck to your teeth and then get stained. It brushes off but not with electric brushes or most brushes that are too soft. The other reason can be if you are only using the system once a day. Always brush your teeth right before sleeping - but it is necessary to find another time - when you do not eat or drink for 1-2 hours afterwards. Are you brushing vigorously with the MOUTHWATCHERS brushes that I recommend? If not - you need to get these brushes - and store the brushes - so that they dry for 24 hours between uses - then they will not get too soft. Here is an Amazon link: a.co/d/gCcuqy8 If this is not enough to get the stain off those areas - then try mixing some granular xylitol crystals ( 1/2 teaspoon) with 1 squeeze of the Crest toothpaste. Aim at these areas with this more exfoliating toothpaste-xylitol mixture. Most stains will come off in a few days of doing this. Here is a link to the granular xylitol on Amazon - this one comes in little individual packets. Half a packet will work each time. a.co/d/7FYSnpU These are superficial stains - this is old plaque still attached - and for some reason it did not get brushed off well enough. it happens a lot and I am trying to help people figure this out in advance. Just give your brushing some vigor - and I am pretty sure you will get this to go away easily. I'd love to know how quickly you remove this! Comment attachment

What about the electric toothbrush? I've been using one for almost two years because my dentist recommended it. Previously, another dentist had recommended a soft brush. So, I would alternate between the two because the electrical one seemed too harsh even at the lower speed. So, should I keep using it or not? Thanks for the great content.
