Where do you need to create a healthy boundary in your leadership?

I think it would be in time/energy management. Learning that I don’t have to say “yes” to every meeting.

This is amazing. Thank you for this. Watching this from South Africa 🇿🇦 love the way Lysa explains her points. The one that stood out in this season is. ''A boundary without a consequence is nothing but a suggestion-and one that’s not likely to be taken. There should be logical consequences for boundaries when they aren’t respected'' this is so good 🤯🤯

Love this!!! I wish we had more places like the both of yours here where I live. I worked for a church which is why I walked away. The amount of abuse inside the church was worse then the amount of abuse I have healed from. Glad to have found both of you in my journey which is on year 10 of walking with Jesus.

Thank you Craig for your podcast. It would be also great to hear from a leader who probably has just 50 members in his church or a small organization but has wisdom. sometimes hearing all the big influential leaders are great but It might also project success in a different format Wisdom is deeper. listening to the wisdom of a small organization or even cross culture leaders from different countries might be something many leaders might need to take. I am thankful for your podcast and have learned a lot from you. thanks once again.

Hi Craig, I love your videos even though I am not a leader. I think they offer profound insights for anyone seeking to move them along on their journey. I did detect in this video a very subtle hint of scornfulness when you suggested that it might actually be illegal in some places to assert that the pandemic is over. Not that I wouldn't agree that people's reaction to COVID may be out of line with reasonable precaution, I presume this characterization is hyperbolic. I need not tell you that scorn however offhand and perhaps seemingly well-deserved rarely moves people in God's direction. But you are doing God's work, I pray for your greatest success, and I'll continue watching.

Lysa, try the house plant hobby:) Start with an easy to please plant: pothos, philodendron, snake plant, spider plant, aloe vera, ZZ plant, & a plethora of succulents. These don't require much care, lighting is the most important consideration. Congrats on your 3rd visit to Craig's podcast:) Thank you both!

A boundary that’s pretty clear in scripture (Exodus) is when Jethro (Moses’ father in law) consults Moses to administer judges to deal with internal disputes.

I don’t think we should “limit” people (and their creativity) with our personal “needs to control”, directing, controlling, and assuming authority over those we have HIRED to THINK, BRAINSTORM, and LOOK/CONSIDER ALL THE OPTIONS, when a specific problem is needing to be solved. Yes, this should happen within a “job description” and “framework”, that is made clear, BEFORE the hiring and work begins. That way every one has the truthful “information” they need to make a good decision to “join” or not to “join”. My 2 cents…😊

Question. Our leaders have been pastors for over 40 years. But they do not trust ‘us’. I’ve been there for 15 years. I want to do more to help them because they keep saying (from the pulpit) that they are tired of doing everything. But when I offer to help, they say they have trust issues because they’ve been “burned” so many times and that I need to have patience as they walk through their mistrust. Honestly, I am tired of hearing that. The only people they allow to help are their family members. As a member and servant leader there for 15 years, I do not feel valued or appreciated by them although they “say” they do value me. It’s such a contradiction to my soul. I am saddened by it…
