Thank you for explaining about your background - I understand completely. I have been drawn to Swedish things since I was a child. I never knew why. When I was 40, I had the opportunity to visit Sweden for the 1st time. When the plane descended, I actually started crying. I felt like I had been trying to "get back home" for a long time and I finally made it. Odd, yes? I felt at home immediately. I felt comfortable like I never did in North America. I stayed for 9 wonderful years. Sweden has never left me. I know how you feel!

I’m glad you said that minimizing hurt and took a long time. May I share tips? You don’t have to get rid of everything you own. *Keeping “like with like” is pleasing to the eye. In my bedroom I have photos on my dresser but that’s the only thing on there. If I kept lotion, vitamins, etc., on there too, it looks messy.* Instead, I have a tiny bookshelf with my vitamins on it, and another dresser with the lotions on it. I have a very large bedroom, about the size of a studio apartment. I cleared out my closet and it’s still empty and that has made me very happy. On the other hand, the photos on my dresser make me happy. As to sugar....it helps to know it’s going to take time. Eating it all the time makes you get used to eating it all the time. Potatoes turn into sugar inside your body so be aware that you may start craving foods in place of sugar. Thank you!

I have been in a cleaning/cluttering mess for some time and I have found some much hope and inspiration in your cleaning and minimalist videos. I appreciate the level of detail that you go over. What many people don't realize is that when you are feeling totally overwhelmed it really helps to have someone show you step by step what they do even though it seems like it should be obvious. Hello Naomi. I'm sorry to hear that you have type 2 diabetes. I understand the food changes you've had to go through as my husband was diagnosed with the same over the past year. It has been something else discovering the sugar content of the simplest foods. I dumped all sugar products from our cupboards and I now cook and shop very differently. I gave up the sugar along with my husband as it just wouldn't be fair to him to have that harmful stuff in the cupboards tempting him. As you know, it has been quite a learning experience but like you said, the cravings for sugar have simply gone away and we've replaced those foods with healthy homemade foods. You're a simple little recipes have been a tremendous help to me. You've shown me how to throw together a very simple and healthy meal without all kinds of prep. Thank you Naomi

Great video! This is one that I will refer to again and again. The hall for me was the easiest to declutter but the kitchen and the bedrooms still need room for improvement 😥. Inspiration is really good motivation 👍 Thats why I always make sure to come back to your videos, when I don't I become lazy. Letting go of old Christmas decors was my most difficult let go. I love Christmas so much! so it really hurt. But looking at the decluttered area makes it worthwhile.👍👌.Thank you Noemi for taking the time out to answer my questions! 😚😘

so happy to be back I was going thru a lot withn my family,my health & other issues. I have bad scoliosis & I cannot walk longer than 10 minutes. They want to put rods in my back, but I will not do that so they want to start shots in my back in a few weeks. I like your hair style. i am still doing real good on my decluttering. I am now going thru all my Christmas things I have so much it is sinful. So Gary set up tables downstairs for me to go thru them . All the things I got rid of this summer I do not miss and like you do not even remember what it all was. The freeing of all the STUFF is an awesome feeling !! Did you say canola oil is bad for us? You always have food for thought content for us always educating us . have a lovely weekend !! Judy

This was a great video it was so good to learn some new things about you! I would love it if you could do more food related videos, I am very interested in learning more about the way you eat and like what is your grocery budget if you wouldn't mind sharing that. You are one of my favourite youtube channels! Love Kate

Hi Noemi, thank you again for your nice video! Well, some of your experiences regarding decluttering.. it's like looking myself in a mirror, he he. I have felt the same many times ;-) Here in Denmark, we don't have many things (as you know, Scandinavian people "normally" don't like cluttered houses) and in our apartment in Spain, I'm following the same rules....but still there, lot of stuff in boxes from my previous home (and my mother's and myself passion for kitchen/tableware/decoration things)…. it's not easy to handle, she passed away and don't want to say bye to many things, but I'm doing it, slowly but surely, just keep what I like but also only what I really need…. Love your art!

I loved finding out more about you Noemi. I can’t believe you were type 2 diabetic! I am also and that’s why I need to cut back on the sugar. My sister will be here for a week so after she leaves I’m going to give it my best effort. I’d love to watch a Q& A with your husband. Have a wonderful week Noemi. ❤️
