So Starfleet spent 100 years just studying everything in Voyager’s database? Including the Warp 10 experiment and whatever the hell Kess did to Voyager in “The Gift”?

I wonder which 1 of these Q is the great grand daddy of Trelane? Trelane is considered by some to be a young member of the Q continuum.

actually, she said 'self-anointed' which means they consider themselves to be the guardians but they weren't elevated to that status by anyone else, and yet there's not a species in the universe that would stand a chance with challenging their position. lol

I don't recall Q ever making that claim of the Continuum.

I'm fairly certain that "our" Q knows he's a trickster. He's not trying to be anyone's guardian, although he did make a habit of trying to teach humanity a lesson from time to time to push them along in their growth.

@@drmayeda1930 the Douwd are also close contenders. One wiped out an entire species over the death of a woman. The Prophets/Pah-Wraiths are also contenders as well. The Q likely are the most powerful of the non-coporeal, non-linear time lifeforms

This scene is so bizarre... I realize the Q are omnipotent, but even if Voyager were taken to the big bang, wouldn't it still be impossible to view it from the outside, since there ISN'T anything outside it? Matter wasn't the only thing that formed in the big bang, space itself did too. The concept of "outside" the big bang just doesn't make sense. Really what it boils down to in the end is that the Q are the writers foregoing scientific accuracy altogether, throwing up their hands and saying "screw logic - it just IS!" The Q are the clown shoes of Star Trek lol 😂 when the writers wanted to write Star Trek meets Looney Toons, they bring in the Q.

There's a theory that a "White Hole" is the antithesis of a "Black Hole" wherein all the matter contained inside of a Black Hole, is released all at once. This is different from a Quasar as a Quasar releases energy/matter along it's poles but does so over a duration of time and not all at once. Of course the James Webb Space Telescope is still uncovering light that dates back "older" than our understanding of the beginning of time so I think it's safe to say that we still don't really know !@#$ about !@#$ lol

If you were a Q, you could make that one day last as long as you wanted, too - theoretically forever. To be a Q for ANY length of time could mean the same as being Q forever 😊

How could there be a build up of particles if the universe hadn't formed yet? No universe means on particles to build up.
@DennisKovacich4 жыл бұрын
Buckaroo Banzai, I assumed the build-up off particles was the singularity just before it expanded in the Big Bang.
@Revan29083 жыл бұрын
You have to understand how fast the early part of the universe was. In the amount of time it took just to turn the screen on to see what was there, the universe was already "cool" enough for hadrons (protons and neutrons) to form. This happened about 10 to the power of −6 seconds after the initial "bang." The fact that so much happened in such a mind-bogglingly short amount of time is why scientists came up with "Planck time." For reference, there are more Planck units in ONE second than there are TOTAL seconds in the entire time since the formation of the cosmos. In just a few Planck units, the universe went from the size of a pinhead to the size of a baseball. A few more, it was the size of Earth. Just a few more after that, it was the size of a galaxy. And yes, that does mean it was actually expanding *faster* than the speed of light.
