Johorean Chinese also know how to sing Singapore's national anthem. We grew up watching MediaCorp, listening to Singapore news, watching Singapore National Day Ceremony. For many Johor Chinese like me, Singapore is not considered as a foreign country, many of us are more familiar with Singapore than our capital city KL😂 When you ask Malaysians about Singapore, there are two types of Malaysians: Johoreans(more precisely Johorean Chinese) and the rest of the Malaysians.

I personally think we like to complain because our feedbacks gets responses. Therefore, we preferred to use words more than punches, if we exclude the karens. I like to go JB to just eat and away from busy life for a day or two. The food service is 3.45 times slower than SG. But still it's like 2 times cheaper than SG, I can wait. 😂😂
I think "Sia" is evolved from malay "sial" an expression Singaporean Malay use to exclaim something. Like "Bodoh sial ini orang", "pemalas sial". Then non Malay Singaporeans also use this expression.

Singapore “Sia” is from the Malay word “Sial”, meaning “cursed with having the misfortune to have”. While Malaysian Chinese “Sia” is actually shortened from “Yi Sia” (一下), which is also from the Malay word “Sekali”, like “Cantik Sekali” “Bagus Sekali”. Or sometimes people use 「極厲害一下」(Sangat hebat Sekali)「極漂亮一下」 (Sangat cantik sekali) , not 「幾厲害一下」「幾漂亮一下」。 “Bak Kut Teh” is being called “Teh”(Tea), that’s because tea is actually one of the traditional Chinese medicine, actually Chinese Medicine that are very mild and can be consumed daily are being called Tea, just like cooling tea 「涼茶」. For instance, dried winter melon is also one of the Chinese medicine, hence it’s being called Winter Melon Tea instead of Winter Melon Soup. To those Singaporean that doesn’t know what is 藥膳茶飲, go and check how many in the list has the “leaves” that you call 「茶」 in them? cookpad.com/tw/%E6%90%9C%E5%B0%8B/%E8%97%A5%E8%86%B3%E8%8C%B6%E9%A3%B2
