The thing about Elliot Rogers was he thought that women should fall at his feet. He dressed in designer clothes, drove a new BMW, wasn't bad looking and was intelligent. His parents were minted and he was a spoiled little rich kid and just couldn't understand why he wasn't a fanny magnet. He very obviously wasn't wired up right in the head. My mate who is a 44 year old incel who has always blamed everyone else for him being that way. I've tried repeatedly to set him up with friends of my girlfriends over the years but it never works. He ALWAYS says or does something to put them off, sometimes within minutes of meeting them. And then it's always the girls fault!!!

He had 3 sisters so initially, when we were young, he found it easier to talk to girls (I had 2 brothers) But that didn't last long as I found it easier over time and he seemed to struggle. Now I'm married with 3 kids and he's kinda stuck in a time warp, acting like we're still in the 90s. He's now just given up completely.

Imagine waking up everyday and saying to yourself, 'I am and always will be an alcoholic', and then you're confused as to why you always have a bottle in your hand. They latch onto this identity because they have nothing else, and it magnifies all their issues by a million.

Better looking men DO get treated a lot better than average guys, and they're living a whole different existence compared to objectively ugly men. Humans are hard-wired to treat good looking people nicer. It sucks, but it's the way it is. The community is kind of split up between the forums ´Lookism .net‘ and ´Incels.is‘. You'll find some insane people on both forums, probably more on the latter lol, but most wouldn't harm a woman

I havn't heard of this either, but I can sort of relate of the last few years. My depression and anxiety has gotten really bad to the point I dont get laid anymore, if ever, but its 100% my own doing. By not trying and letting the depression and anxiety get a hold of me, its made me less confident and scared of doing something simple like going to the pub with a friend. What I have done over the last 3 months are only two things which have really helped, forcing myself to be more social, and forcing myself to try harder running my business. Those two things have not only brought a bit of confidence back, its also made me realise the world isnt as scary as my mind makes it out to be. It's like going to a job interview. You are shit scared, but then afterwards you wonder why you were even nervous. Force yourself to do small things like go to the pub, go bowling, and work your way up. The more you do these things, the more your confidence will build, and people will notice, especially girls. I saw 2019 in with a bang if you get my drift, and thats all because I put in a bit of effort. It's tough, and if you do suffer with mental illness it will never go away, but you can fight back to gain a bit of yourself back. Women dont hate you, but if you hate yourself you can never be attractive to others.

This may be the best, most realistic message to "incels" I've ever heard. More people need to talk some real shit to the kids of today who seem to worship violence and vengeance simply because life isn't going their way so far. The intestinal fortitude that young men require to succeed in life seems to be all but gone in most of the young generation out there. I saw it slipping away back in the 90's with Gen X, and now the Millenials and their kids are even worse. Possibly the neediest, helpless generation the world has ever seen. I believe it all comes from the nonsense that parenting experts like Dr. Spock and others from back in the hippie movement indoctrinated into the youth and their parents 40 to 50 years ago. Delusions of grandeur, participation awards, not spanking or punishing kids for doing wrong, parents who never blame themselves or their children for anything that happens, etc. All this soft bullshit built the foundation for what we have today in our youth culture.

Great advice and comments Shaun. I was an " incel" until I was 19 but I did not dwell on it and I was right that sex was not the most important thing once I did losing my virginity. It's about relationships you build with people rather they are sexual or not you need to have positive friends of both sexes even if you're not getting a girlfriend this way it still makes your mental health better to have support from friends. With these good friends I was able to a have a good relationship naturally and I feel like I have a healthy understanding of relationships and how they relate to mental health as I am a psychologist now and I see how important it is for any patient to have a good support system. I've been very skeptical of the use of antidepressants for every single slightly depressed person since I started studying them for my psychology degree. I always ask about these and why they are used so much and if this is appropriate and most of the professors do agree that they're over-prescribed. They attribute this to the lack of time and the high demand for mental health professionals that causes doctors and psychiatrists to reach for the easier solution as opposed to the healthier one. I even refused antidepressants for my anxiety disorder as I told them it would be better for me to see a psychologist and it was.

Thank's for not ripping into and mocking incels personal problems. 9 times out of 10 people who uploads any videos on incels start by immediately mocking them. I think that mocking people who are lacking in confidence, looks or have a disability just adds fuel to the fire. After reading about newspaper articles on Alek Minassian where they made him look like a simpleton I started to have a tiny bit of sympathy for him which made me feel dirty. Mocking incels is like a self fulfilling prophecy sometimes.

Can we just get legalized prostitution like in Europe? Some people out there just need to get laid. I am not a virgin (previously married, etc. but not much sex in my lifetime) but would like that for the times where I need to get my rocks off say like now as I haven't had sex in .. since I don't know when.

Is it not legal in some U.S states? I watched a documentary where Louis Theroux visited a licensed brothel in Nevada. This was back in 2003 so maybe it’s not legal anymore. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Louis_and_the_Brothel
